Santiago's gaze shifted toward him instantly. "You took my pregnant wife to an illegal racing district."
Silence fell immediately, complete and absolute. Valentina's eyes widened violently.
"Pregnant?"
Somehow, the situation had managed to become worse again.
"Pregnant?" Valentina's voice came out much quieter this time, the earlier aggression disappearing completely from her expression as genuine shock replaced it, and her eyes immediately dropped toward Daniella's abdomen.
