"He's absolutely adorable," she said softly.
"He certainly is," the housekeeper agreed with a warm smile.
Meanwhile, Adrián stood quietly beside the sink, carefully washing the vegetables exactly as Daniella had shown him. Unlike his younger brother, he worked patiently and methodically, making sure every leaf was properly cleaned before placing it neatly into the basket. Every now and then he glanced toward Daniella, quietly checking whether she needed anything else.
"You learn very quickly," Daniella praised as she stirred the vegetables cooking on the stove.
A shy smile appeared on Adrián's face.
"I used to help Mommy sometimes."
The words came naturally, but almost immediately his smile dimmed ever so slightly.
Daniella noticed the subtle change in his expression. Rather than allowing the conversation to drift toward painful memories, she smiled warmly and handed him another bowl of vegetables.
"Then today you're officially my assistant chef."
His eyes brightened again.
