Chapter 1(The Coup)
The night in Eldoria was not the way it used to be. The clinking of blades,the gnashing of teeth and the roaring voices erupted its silence.
Princess Alina! King Almond called as Alina ran towards him.
His face was grave and hers was full of worry
Father,you look so disheveled she said worriedly as she scanned his whole body.
Now is not the time to worry about how i look he said as he brought out a pendant
This is your mother's necklace,take it with you he said,he gently placed it into her hands.
Father,what is happening? She demanded as he gazed at her
You're uncle,Grefendor has started a coup he said
Find the king and princess! A voice roared
Quickly,you must leave,King Almond urged, pushing Alina to the door.
No way,I'm not leaving without you father Alina protested as she held him by the arm
I insist,this is my palace and I must protect it,you must leave now!
He opened the door and pushed her outside.
You must remain dead,say nothing and do nothing and that's the only way you will survive he whispered
Alina shook her head as she fought her tears.
This is just a nightmare she reminded herself.
"I love you",he said those last words with a bitter sweet smile.
Now leave! He half yelled and with that he drew his sword and ran towards the door leading to the chamber halls.
We have found the king! One of the guards yelled as they seized him.
Alina felt her head spin and her throat hurt,she couldn't say a word,she dared not to.
She ran as quickly as she could,her father had shown her a secret passageway, as if he had longed prepared for this.
She never looked back,she dared not to!
The captured guards were tied to the grounds and bled nonstop. The servants panicked and a voice continuously roared for them to keep their mouths shut.
A man stood in front of them,with some men by his side. His face was chiseled and a dark unexplainable aura surrounded him.
He looked like a man ready to devour his prey.
He watched as king Almond struggled with the guards who dragged him with a rope.
My king,the man said with a slight bow and a smirk on his lips.
King Almond glared.. How dare you Grefendor!
Don't be too hostile,your majesty, "the man said as he bent slightly towards him. Where is your useless daughter?
In your grave! King Almond spat.
The man held his breath as if controlling his anger. Then he stood straight.
Find the princess! He ordered, four of his men rushed off.
You will never find her,that will be your nemesis! King Almond snapped.
Grefendor shrugged as he darted his eyes around for a second.
Perhaps,you wouldn't mind shutting your mouth after your daughter's demise,he said
King Almond's face was red with anger,he clenched his fist silently.
You can never rule Eldoria,never!
Don't be too sure your majesty,the table may turn he shrugged
The people will not follow you,you are just a greedy tyrant who has always coveted what is not yours!
Not mine you say? Grefendor said as lines appeared on his forehead and his fist clenched.
I have always been the one to struggle for myself,while you brother had everything you ever wanted and then your silly daughter as well he snapped
You know that's a lie,Grefendor…do not try to act the victim

I have had to go through suffering since the day I was born,and you who have known no suffering dare to counter my words!
You are just a wounded beast! King Almond shot back Grefendor threw him a hard glare
Throw him in the dark room,where the vultures will feed on his body and the wild animals will use him as prey! He ordered
Yes sire! His men roared as they dragged the king up

You will never succeed in your plan, Grefendor,my ghost will haunt you! King Almond yelled as they dragged him away.
We will see to that,my king Grefendor said with a smirk.
Find the princess,she is just a frail young woman who cannot last the night! Alina heard one of the men yell.
She ran as fast as she could,her sandals were off. She ran till she was almost out of breath.
She was thirsty and weak,and her throat felt sore,her knees were almost numb and her feet scraped against the rough grounds of the forest.
Father…. She whispered through tears
You must remain dead,say nothing and do nothing,her father's words echoed in her mind.
She felt her eyes spin and the forest trees around her,the cries of owls enveloped her ears and the mist enveloped the whole forest.
She was almost lost in her own agony,she could feel it,as fear gripped her..
Her nightmare had only just begun.
