Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: The God’s Report Card! The Farewell Waltz in the Sky

The Felix Felicis potion—known for granting "good luck"—was notoriously complex to brew. Every step demanded near-perfect precision: ingredient preparation, heat control, stirring technique. The slightest mistake could ruin the entire batch, turning it into useless sludge—or worse, poison.

While the other students nervously followed their textbooks, carefully handling each precious ingredient—

Lin Sen remained as relaxed as ever.

He glanced at the standard recipe beside his cauldron… and shook his head again.

"Too wasteful," he murmured.

Then, right before the horrified gaze of the strict proctor—

He casually pushed aside half of the listed ingredients.

And from the spare materials box, he picked out a few completely unrelated, ordinary herbs—things that had absolutely nothing to do with Felix Felicis.

"What… what is he doing?" the examiner's heart nearly leapt out of his throat. "He's gone mad! This is—this is nonsense!"

But Lin Sen ignored him entirely.

He revised seven of the brewing steps on the spot—discarding what he deemed inefficient.

Then, using those random herbs, he replaced four of the most expensive and critical magical ingredients.

No precise heat control.

No specialized stirring techniques.

He simply tossed everything into the cauldron—like someone cooking a casual meal at home.

The entire process was smooth, effortless, and unbelievably fast.

While other students were still cautiously working through the first stage—

A strange, refreshing fragrance had already begun to rise from his cauldron.

And finally—

At only one-third of the standard brewing time—

Lin Sen extinguished the flame.

He poured the result into a crystal vial.

The moment he placed it on the examiner's table—

The entire hall fell into absolute silence.

A radiant, blinding golden light—like liquefied sunlight itself—burst forth from the tiny vial.

It illuminated the entire Great Hall, turning it into a sea of gold.

Standard Felix Felicis merely shimmered like molten gold.

But this—

This was molten sunlight.

The examiner, hands trembling, put on dragon-hide gloves before daring to pick it up. Just sensing the immense, terrifying "luck" contained within—

His mind went completely blank.

"Th-this… according to my assessment…" he stammered, voice shaking like a dream.

"This… 'Super Felix Felicis'… its potency…"

"…at least… ten times greater than the standard version!"

What was meant to be a mortal's ultimate परीक्षा—

Had become a god's casual performance.

After the Ancient Runes and Potions exams—both already bordering on miracles—the examiners' sense of "common sense" had been thoroughly shattered.

They no longer saw Lin Sen as a student.

But as a god in disguise, strolling through the mortal realm.

Yet soon, they realized—

Even that imagination was far too limited.

Third Exam: Practical Transfiguration

"Alright, students," said Professor Griselda Marchbanks, the venerable chief examiner, forcing herself to remain composed.

With a wave of her wand, a lively mouse appeared before each student.

"Today's task is simple," she announced.

"Transform this living mouse into a non-living, finely crafted object—a snuffbox."

"This tests not only your mastery of transfiguration, but your precision in matter conversion. Begin."

At once, incantations filled the air.

"Fera Verto!"

"Fera Verto!"

Most students struggled—producing half-transformed creatures: furry cups, boxes with tails—earning disapproving looks.

Only a few top students like Hermione managed something resembling a proper box.

As for Lin Sen—

He didn't even glance at the mouse curiously sniffing his fingers.

To him, turning life into lifeless matter—

It was crude.

Uninspired.

"True transfiguration," he murmured softly,

"…is not 'changing.'"

"It is… creation."

Then—

Under the terrified eyes of the examiners—

He slowly raised his hand.

Not toward the mouse—

But toward his desk.

And gently pointed.

No spell.

No light.

Only a vast, primordial will—imbued with the laws of life and evolution—descended upon the wooden desk.

Creaaak… crack…

The desk began to twist.

Its legs reshaped into powerful limbs.

Wood fibers restructured into muscle and bone.

Its surface bulged and elongated into a massive torso.

Edges stretched outward—forming colossal wings.

Wood grain vanished—replaced by black, metallic scales.

A dragon's head emerged—fierce, ancient, alive.

And then—

"ROAR—!"

A thunderous dragon's cry shook the entire castle.

Before them stood a living, breathing—

Norwegian Ridgeback dragon.

Wingspan over ten meters.

Eyes burning with intelligence.

Scales gleaming like obsidian.

It even opened its jaws—

And released a blast of real dragonfire.

Silence.

Total silence.

Wands fell from students' hands.

Examiners stood frozen like statues.

Professor Marchbanks' mouth slowly opened… wide enough to fit a Golden Snitch.

She looked at the dragon.

Then at the exam question:

"…turn a mouse into a snuffbox…"

Her mind… crashed completely.

Who… exactly… was examining whom?

When the dragon reverted back into a pristine wooden desk—

The exam was effectively over.

Students handed in their papers in a daze.

They no longer cared about scores.

Because they had witnessed something far beyond grades—

A miracle.

Examiners' Lounge

The atmosphere was even heavier.

The most prestigious examiners sat in silence, staring at one thing:

Lin Sen's paper.

"How… Do we grade this?" Marchbanks asked hoarsely.

A divine text… written in an unknown script.

A potion beyond definition.

A dragon born from nothing.

How could mortals judge this?

Finally—

Marchbanks stood.

"We have no right to evaluate him," she said solemnly.

"But we have a duty… to record the truth."

She picked up her quill.

Instead of writing "O" (Outstanding)—

She wrote something new:

S+

"S stands for 'Supreme,'" she declared.

"And '+'… represents everything beyond mortal comprehension."

One by one, the examiners signed.

Ancient Runes: S+

Potions: S+

Transfiguration: S+

Defense Against the Dark Arts: S+

Charms: S+

A report card never seen before—

The God's Report Card.

They even submitted a joint petition:

To create a new, eternal rank—

Above N.E.W.T.s itself—

To honor Lin Sen:

A god walking among mortals.

The wizarding world erupted in awe.

"S+" became synonymous with his name.

But Lin Sen himself—

Had already moved on.

After exams, Hogwarts welcomed its final event of the term:

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw — the last Quidditch match.

The outcome?

Never in doubt.

With Lin Sen as Seeker—

Victory was guaranteed.

But this match…

Carried something else.

A quiet weight.

A sense of farewell.

Because—

For the seventh years—

This would be their last game at Hogwarts.
