The gang leader ran out and jumped into a police car then he drove away. Mike quickly picked up some guns from the gang members that he had killed. Then he ran out. The truck that Mike had parked was still there. He grabbed something from a bag. Climbed into the truck following the gang leader really closely.
A gang member picked up a phone. He said, "The rat is a monster."
Someone said, "Do not worry we have dealt with monsters before."
The gang leader said, "No this one is different." The gang leader was really scared. The police officers who were trying to stop him were shot dead some were. Police cars were taken down. More police officers joined the chase. Mike did not think they were important because they were being killed. He shot out their car wheels, which stopped the chase.
In the police station all the officers were on alert. The previous conman, who had sent the gang to kill Mike was also a police officer. The captain saw him. He asked, "What brings you here? You are retired."
The conman said, "Yes I am still a soldier what's up?"
The captain said, "Let us find out who is being followed and who is following."
The conman said, "No need it is over the news."
On the TV a gang member was chasing a police car. It seemed like the police did not want any help they were shooting at police cars.
The captain said, "Then that is not the police, a police officer cannot shoot others like that."
The conman said, "No the report is accurate that happens when police get mad he thinks everyone is a gang."
The captain said, "How is..."
The conman said, "And that is how it is supposed to happen."
The captain said, "I do not agree."
They kept arguing. The conman, being older spoke up "Whatever is happening is causing panic across the country and could lead to loss of life let us not just talk, let us check who they are."
One officer said, "But how can we..."
The captain said, "Stop, let us take action let us file a report to the military for assistance."
The conman went to the washroom made a call. "Do you hear me?"
The person on the phone said, "Yes I do."
The conman said, "Make sure you reach the bridge we will send a helicopter to pick you there."
The person said, "Roger that."
This chase was very unusual drivers were not relying on skills. On survival. The small size of the police car gave the gang leader an advantage. The narrow streets and potholes were nothing to them. Many people ran away to avoid being hit while others watched as if it were a stunt show. The gang leader occasionally took shortcuts through alleyways while Mike drove around buildings refusing to give up. The car collided with poles, potholes and other vehicles kept moving until they reached the highway. Speeds were very high one mistake could mean disaster. It seemed like they had planned the overtakes on the road. A sign said 2 kilometers to the bridge.
Suddenly the truck showed a fuel level. Stopped. The gang leader had a chance to escape. Mike said, "Shit." He took out a pistol fired at the car missing until he ran out of bullets. Mike was frustrated he slammed the pistol down on the steering wheel stared at the car speeding toward the bridge military helicopters were approaching.
Then the car lost control it had been hit in the tires and oil was leaking. There was an explosion. To Mike it felt like relief.
The military helicopters filled the sky searching for Mike. One of the helicopters went down toward the bridge, where the gang leader lay severely burned. The others went to Mikes truck they only found a body that Mike had put in a bag.
They said, "It is a corpse." over the radio.
Mike was sitting in a car he was hidden as all the vehicles stopped due to the traffic caused by the accident.
They said, "He is dead."
The commander said, "Bring it to the mortuary for investigation." over the phone.
The conman went to the washroom he was scared and angry. "Hahaha I thought you could be an entrepreneur " he said to himself staring into the mirror. He laughed, "I am sorry I faked you and gave you a toy, hahahaha."
He laughed loudly his voice echoing in the space. "Now loss of lives loss of everything " he said each word slowly as if he was thinking about the deaths, around him. "A rat can only nibble at my grain for long when I buy a cat that cat will be ready to take your life for its benefit Mike I will kill you."
He spoke to the mirror as if Mike were standing in front of him he was moving his hands and then stopping. Beneath his talk he seemed scared. His talk was interrupted when a police officer came in.
The officer said, "Sir we investigated the body and it does not match the description it is not Mike what can we do now?"
The conman said, "Let me do my plan " he sounded determined.
