Nina and Leon Grant walked to a secluded spot and stopped.
Nina glanced at the time. Class had started three minutes ago.
"What is it? Spit it out."
Just as she said that, her phone buzzed.
Nina unlocked it and took a look.
Vernal: [Hey, sweetie. This class is just a study hall. Can you chat with me?]
Nina: "..."
'Why didn't he want to talk earlier? Or later? Why right now of all times?'
Leon Grant started to speak. "Nina..."
Nina immediately cut him off. "Hold on, I have to reply to a message."
Sonnet: [I'm outside right now, so it's not a good time. How about I hit you up when I get back to my dorm?]
Vernal: [I'm wearing headphones. Let's talk. I can keep you company on your walk back to the dorm, how about that?]
Nina: "..."
'Did Milo Morgan take the wrong meds or something?'
'Why is he being so clingy all of a sudden?'
But then, a voice call actually came through from him.
Startled, Nina jumped and instantly rejected the call.
