Aria Sterling listened to Damian Xavier, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
'So he's certain I'm not a casual person.'
"Whether I am or not has nothing to do with you."
He was so close that she wanted to run, but she knew she couldn't break free.
"You can leave now."
Aria Sterling turned to run, but he grabbed her by the shoulder again.
"This child is mine. You'd better not even think about getting rid of it."
Staring into her eyes, Damian Xavier felt a surge of irritation.
'Why didn't I ever think this woman was so hard to read before? Now I'm actually getting angry because I can't figure out what she's thinking.'
"If you dare get rid of it, I'll make you regret it."
Damian Xavier's voice turned icy, his tone dropping several notches, creating an undeniable sense of pressure.
This wasn't a threat. It was a warning.
But Aria Sterling gazed back at him fearlessly. "We're divorced. This child is mine, and mine alone."
