Damian Xavier gazed at Mya Walsh and suddenly found her a little unfamiliar.
'He barely knew how he had come to love her. Why was her image now overlapping with Aria Sterling's?'
His brow furrowed slightly. He cleared his throat before finally speaking to Mya Walsh. "I'm sorry, Mya. Aria Sterling is pregnant, and it's my child."
The color drained from Mya Walsh's face, leaving it deathly pale. She stared at him with a look of disbelief.
Gradually, her expression shifted to one of sorrow, tinged with a hint of resentment.
"It was that day, wasn't it? The day of the banquet hosted by the Sterling Family?" she asked him, her voice hoarse.
Damian Xavier nodded.
Mya Walsh took a deep breath, forcing a smile onto her face. Her hand still refused to let go of his sleeve.
"Damian, I don't blame you, but... I really can't live without you. Can we please not call off the engagement?"
