His words sounded righteous and stern, but hearing them made Aria Sterling's face flush red.
"We're divorced," she said forcefully.
"We'll get remarried. Then you won't just be my wife, you'll be the mother of my child." He narrowed his eyes slightly, gazing at her face, seemingly very pleased with the words he had just spoken.
Aria Sterling couldn't be bothered with him and gave him a huge eye-roll.
Damian Xavier, however, looked completely calm and composed.
Aria Sterling didn't want to argue with him, so she just lowered her head and ate in silence.
Sitting beside her, Damian Xavier watched her intently from the corner of his eye. His stern, handsome face was lost in thought as he captured every subtle change in her expression.
He could more or less guess what she was thinking.
But once he had decided on something, no one could easily change his mind.
'This woman thinks she can leave me? How naive.'
'This isn't a game she can end just by saying it's over.'
