Colin Sterling was kneeling before Miles Sterling, sobbing his heart out. He was the very picture of a dutiful son, a sight Aria Sterling found utterly ironic.
Miles Sterling stared at his son, his brow deeply furrowed. He pointed toward the door. "Get out! I told you never to come back. Get out now!"
Instead of leaving, Colin Sterling shuffled forward a couple of steps, bent down, and kowtowed to his father. "Dad, I was wrong! I'm a scoundrel! Please don't kick me out!" he cried with each bow.
Seeing this, Raina Sterling quickly chimed in, pleading, "Grandpa, please don't blame Dad. I was worried about your condition, so I was the one who told him."
Watching this scene from outside, Aria Sterling immediately understood.
'It seems this father-daughter duo is behind all this.'
'It's true what they say: it's easy to dodge a spear in the open, but hard to defend against an arrow in the dark.'
