Tristan Xavier watched Damian gradually disappear from sight. He turned to Vincent Vance, shot him a displeased glare, and said, "Are you Damian's subordinate or not? How could you just let him go like that?"
But Vincent Vance simply shook his head, feigning profound mystery. He crossed his arms, raised an eyebrow, and said, "We can protect him without him knowing. We'll drive and follow him. He's in no state of mind to notice something like that right now."
The words were a wake-up call for Tristan Xavier. He grabbed Vincent Vance and sprinted toward the parking lot, pulling out his keys, jumping into his car, and slamming on the gas to catch up with Damian.
As he drove, Tristan Xavier voiced the question that was nagging him. "So what's the deal with this kidnapped woman? She's managed to make Damian so frantic that he's willing to walk into the lion's den alone. From what I know, a cold, ruthless guy like him isn't the type to lose his head over a woman."
