Vincent Vance went to meet Aria Sterling as usual, but at the appointed time, it seemed she hadn't come to class.
He assumed Aria Sterling was busy and running late, so he kept waiting at the school gate. But he waited through an entire class period, and even after it ended, he still hadn't seen her.
'Strange. I've never seen her skip class before.' Puzzled, Vincent Vance walked to Aria Sterling's classroom.
"Excuse me," he said, stopping a passing female student. Seeing she wasn't in a hurry to leave, he continued, "Has your classmate Aria Sterling come to school today?"
The girl seemed to think for a moment, then replied: "No, no one has seen her in class today. It's really strange. She almost never misses class."
He felt something was off and pressed further, "Did she take a leave of absence, or tell you guys what she was up to?"
The girl shook her head and left.
