Brooke Morrison placed a shrimp dumpling on Ivy Holden's plate and smiled. "Ivy, here are your favorite shrimp dumplings. I specifically had Mrs. Cheney learn the recipe from Shelby Roland."
"Thank you, Auntie Morrison." Ivy Holden gave a slight, polite nod. "But we're all family here. You don't have to be so formal."
"Exactly. We're at home, so everyone, please make yourselves comfortable," Carson Holden said, picking up his chopsticks and addressing Eric Sutton. "Chairman Sutton, help yourself to whatever you like. Don't stand on ceremony."
Ivy Holden was instantly embarrassed by her father's pettiness.
'Chairman Sutton is a guest, after all. How could Dad treat him like that?'
'Besides, out of everyone at this table, who did he expect to make small talk with Chairman Sutton?'
'Brooke Morrison? With their ex-husband and ex-wife history, that's definitely not happening.'
'Jensen Morrison? He's probably wishing Chairman Sutton would throw a fit and leave.'
