Faced with Pu Yu Master's direct question, Du Youqian smiled. "We must have met in a past life."
If this were on Earth, where Du Youqian had once lived, "We must have met in a past life" would be a cheesy pickup line for a cute girl.
But in this world, Pu Yu Master would only take it literally.
"Fellow Daoist, have you awakened some memories of a past life?"
"Indeed."
"Then, may I ask who you were in your past life, Fellow Daoist?"
Du Youqian shook his head with a wry smile. "I've only seen fleeting glimpses and don't know who I was. In those visions, I saw you, Pu Yu Master, and a scene where you were bowing to another Kun Cultivator, addressing her as 'Old Ancestor.'"
"Do you remember Shangjian Master and Hu Po Master, Fellow Daoist?"
"I don't. They might have been in those fleeting visions, but I can't recall them."
Pu Yu Master pondered for a moment, likely trying to figure out which acquaintance Du Youqian could have been in his past life, but she couldn't be sure.
