BOOM.
The gigantic black bull finally collapsed to the ground. The impact shook everything around it and split the earth beneath its enormous body. The overwhelming figure that had once dominated the horizon was now motionless, its furious aura completely gone. Deep wounds covered every part of its body, blood flowing freely onto the ground. Its crimson eyes remained open, but the life within them had vanished.
Not far away, Sophia fell onto her back.
"Huff... Huff... Huff..."
Her chest rose and fell as she struggled to catch her breath. Exhaustion showed in every part of her body, although her face still retained its usual cold expression. She had fought continuously for two full days.
The reason was simple. Although her techniques were powerful and exceptionally sharp, they had been unable to penetrate the bull's thick hide deeply enough. Every strike inflicted a wound, yet none of them was decisive enough to end the battle. What had begun as a fierce clash quickly turned into a true battle of attrition. Attack after attack, she exploited every opening she could find, adding one wound after another until the accumulated damage gradually weakened the bull and slowly drained away its strength.
Sophia herself, however, had also suffered severe injuries.
The bull had not simply stood there and endured her attacks. It had counterattacked with everything it possessed whenever an opportunity presented itself. Its blows existed on an entirely different level, shattering her bones numerous times throughout the battle.
Had it not been for her extraordinary physique and the Three Vitality Seals, which kept her Healing Chakra operating automatically and continuously throughout the fight, she would never have survived. Every time she received a blow, her body immediately began repairing the damage even as she continued moving and attacking. That relentless regeneration was what allowed her to remain standing until she finally defeated her opponent.
Even so, it came at a cost.
The chakra consumed for healing was the very same chakra she needed for attacking, defending, and moving. Maintaining that constant balance for two uninterrupted days explained the profound exhaustion she now felt.
Yet despite everything, a faint smile appeared on her usually expressionless face as she gazed up at the sky of this world.
Elsewhere, concealed behind the dense forest surrounding the battlefield, the hidden group remained exactly where they had been, silently watching the outcome with stunned expressions.
One of them spoke quietly in the language of this world.
"Two entire days... against the Bull of Wrath."
No one answered.
What they had witnessed spoke for itself.
"So, my little girl... how did you find your first battle?"
Dan's voice reached Sophia's ears.
"It was wonderful, Father. I can't even describe how much I enjoyed it."
"I'm glad your first experience in this world lived up to your expectations."
"Thank you, Father."
Dan continued,
"But don't lower your guard. The beast you fought still occupies a relatively low position in this world's food chain."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"There are countless creatures in this world that far surpass it... and far surpass you as well."
After a moment, Sophia asked calmly, her faint smile still lingering on her face.
"Father... what is the strongest creature in this world?"
