"First, I needed a huge and vast world that could serve as a place for training, experimentation, and adventure for the members of my family, so that is its primary purpose: to be a testing ground, a platform for developing skills, and an open laboratory for experimenting with new ideas. That is why I designed it in the way you experienced it. The outer continents are the first stage, and the Tower is the second stage, where the challenge becomes deeper and the test more precise."
The Night Empress stared at Dan, her eyes focused on every word he said. At the same time, her extraordinary mind worked rapidly, connecting everything he said with what she already knew, confirming all her previous conclusions and filling in the gaps that had been missing.
"That is why I established rules that make training and advancement organized, such as the king rank, which is granted to those who reach the peak of their Path in the outer continents, and the old king rank, which is granted to those who reach a higher and more advanced level and manage to break through the Tower. These ranks serve as milestones, telling the trainee that they are in the right place, that they are moving in the right direction, and that what they have achieved is not the end, but merely a station along the way."
The Night Empress said, her voice carrying a tone of understanding:
"So this explains why most of the legends describing the appearance of the kings said that they had similar features. It was simply because they belonged to the same family."
Dan smiled and continued:
"As for the second reason behind building this world, it became a living library for me. All the sciences, techniques, power systems, and philosophies that appear within it, whether invented by its native inhabitants or developed by visitors from my family, are all recorded and preserved by a special mechanism I built. This helps me make use of them, study them, develop them, and advance them further. The world is not merely a training ground, but also a source of knowledge and a repository of experiments."
She raised her head toward Dan and felt the sincerity of his words, realizing that he was not hiding anything from her. In fact, she felt a little admiration for the humility of the entity before her, whose level of power she had expected might exceed what even her extraordinary mind could simulate or perhaps even imagine.
Ever since the moment she saw Dan, she had been unable to sense even the slightest part of his power, as though she were looking at a void, or a black point in reality that erased all the space it occupied, and this feeling seemed strange to her.
And not only that, she could not even sense any sign of life from him. This led her to conclude that the person before her was a colossal entity, perhaps one that no longer existed in the same dimension she occupied, and that he was communicating with her through only a small fragment of his existence.
This realization increased her admiration for him, because despite this tremendous level of power, he still appeared humble, showing interest in the knowledge and experience offered by beings beneath him and seeing them as a source of inspiration.
