Clarissa POV
My gut feeling told me not to go in and check. But then again, why should I be scared? A ghost? Nah, I was never scared of any ghost, because all they did was scare you, while I've done so much worse than just scaring Claudia.
And I shouldn't be scared of an intruder. After all, this was a gated community with strict surveillance, and the bathroom was on the second floor!
"Mmm, could be a stray cat that entered through the window."
With those thoughts circling in my mind, I headed toward the bathroom, determined to check it myself.
I reached for the handle and pushed the door open without hesitation.
The moment the door swung inward, my breath caught in my throat.
A man dressed entirely in black stood right in front of me, his face hidden behind a ski mask. In his hand, a knife glinted coldly under the bathroom light, the blade already raised as if he had been waiting for this exact moment.
For a second, we simply stared at each other.
