My breath hitched as this was the first time I saw her waking up without looking disheveled or in a daze like in the hospital. She looked ethereal in my eyes, like an angel that had graced the earth with her beauty.
No matter how many times I saw her face, I still couldn't get enough of it. She was like a midsummer daydream that I couldn't wake up from, eternally trapped inside her sweet smile, like a man who had been utterly bewitched by a succubus.
And yes, no matter how much I hated her, I also couldn't shake off this obsession. Whether it was hating or loving her, I had to keep her by my side no matter the cost or the method.
"Sure," I said as I carried her to her wheelchair. She was so lightweight that I began to worry about her health.
'Maybe I should start a meal plan for her. She needs to fatten up.'
That thought crossed my mind as I made a mental note of what to do next.
