With Anok gone, I could finally let out a relieved sigh. She had always been the bane of my existence, because she was directly under my grandfather, so I couldn't do much to stop whatever she wanted to do.
"Don't get intimidated by her, Claudia. She's not dangerous…" I tried pacifying her, knowing that Anok could be intimidating to others. But then I added, "But you should tell me if she dares to hurt you, or insult you like what Jane did. Got it?"
"Mm, alright," Claudia murmured as she finished her plate. "I mean, I don't see anything wrong with her. She doesn't want to kill me, unlike Jane. So there's a plus."
"Though, I'm wondering, why would a gorgeous woman like her not do something like a full-time modeling gig instead of being a secretary for your grandfather?"
"Uh… it's her dream job," I replied, not wanting to disclose Anok's past. "But she is loyal to a fault to my grandfather, so you have nothing to worry about."
