Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Dinner of the Black Bulls

Sylvar Crowe and Rory Mercury walked through the Gate.

After stepping out on the other side, the first thing Sylvar Crowe saw was the watch placed in front of the Gate.

Sylvar Crowe walked over. He bent down slightly. He raised his wrist and carefully checked the watch.

He discovered that the date had not changed.

Only about one hour had passed.

That hour was the time he had spent in the other world.

In other words, after Sylvar Crowe connected the two worlds, the flow of time between the two worlds had become the same.

Sylvar Crowe thought about it silently.

Perhaps this was because of the World-Piercing Pearl.

After all, when he crossed worlds using the power of the World-Piercing Pearl alone, time flowed one hundred times faster after crossing.

After finishing this train of thought, Sylvar Crowe raised his hand.

He used spatial magic.

His body disappeared from where he was standing.

In the next moment, he teleported directly back into his room.

Rory Mercury looked around the room.

She tilted her head.

"Where is this place?" she asked.

"This is my room," Sylvar Crowe replied.

Rory Mercury looked around again.

She blinked.

"It's so small," she said.

Sylvar Crowe shrugged slightly.

"Even though it's small, it's warm."

He paused.

"That's because I have friends here."

He continued speaking.

"It's different from ruling a lonely throne in another world."

"A throne like that only makes people feel lonely."

Rory Mercury looked at him.

"Really?" she asked.

"Then will you take me to meet the friends in your world?"

Sylvar Crowe nodded.

"You want to meet them?"

"They are a group of interesting people."

He paused again.

"In some ways they are unreliable."

"But when it matters, they are all reliable companions."

Rory Mercury smiled.

"Of course, dear."

"My companions really want to meet you."

Sylvar Crowe immediately stiffened.

"…I already told you not to call me that," he said.

"It sounds extremely awkward."

Rory Mercury suddenly leaned closer.

She spoke in a coquettish voice.

"Honey… is it not okay for me to say that?"

While speaking, she moved her body slightly and rubbed against Sylvar Crowe.

Sylvar Crowe froze instantly.

His entire body became stiff as if he had been struck by lightning.

"It's… not that it's terrible," he said.

"It's just… extremely embarrassing."

No.

This topic has to end immediately.

We absolutely cannot continue talking about this.

Sylvar Crowe lowered his head.

He looked at his watch again.

The time displayed was 7:30.

There were still about thirty minutes before dinner.

Sylvar Crowe frowned slightly.

So what should I do now?

He suddenly felt that something was wrong.

It felt like he had forgotten something.

What did I forget?

While Sylvar Crowe was trying to think, Rory Mercury stood beside him.

She pointed at various objects in the room.

She kept asking questions.

"What is this?"

"And what is that?"

"What is this thing used for?"

Her constant chatter interrupted Sylvar Crowe's train of thought.

He could not concentrate.

He could not remember what he had forgotten.

Sylvar Crowe frowned again.

He thought carefully.

Then he suddenly opened the grimoire.

He flipped through several pages.

Then he froze.

Ah.

He remembered.

It was the Flame Dragon.

Because it would take more than one hour for the Flame Dragon to fly to Arnus, Sylvar Crowe had completely forgotten about it.

Sorry.

Nothing bad should have happened.

Sylvar Crowe immediately opened a spatial passage.

Rory Mercury followed him without hesitation.

They appeared inside the room where the Gate was located.

Rory Mercury looked around.

She seemed confused.

"What are we doing here again?" she asked.

Sylvar Crowe scratched the back of his head.

"I forgot about the dragon over there."

"I'm planning to bring it back."

He looked a little embarrassed.

After saying this, Sylvar Crowe suddenly remembered something else.

Ah.

I still have two baby dragons prepared as gifts.

I actually forgot about the gifts too.

This is bad.

Sylvar Crowe raised his hand and rubbed his forehead.

"Wait here for a moment," he said.

"I'll go over there."

Rory Mercury looked around the room.

The walls were made of dark rock.

The room was dim.

Her expression suddenly changed slightly.

"I don't want to stay here alone," she said.

She looked at the dark stone walls around her.

Some unpleasant memories seemed to surface in her mind.

Her body trembled slightly.

Sylvar Crowe sighed.

"Fine."

"It doesn't really matter anyway."

Rory Mercury immediately followed him.

Sylvar Crowe stepped forward.

He walked through the Gate.

Rory Mercury followed him through the Gate as well.

After stepping out on the other side, Sylvar Crowe immediately used spatial magic.

In an instant, he teleported to a nearby mountain.

The mountain was about four thousand meters high.

Sylvar Crowe stood on the mountain peak.

He raised his head.

He looked toward the direction he could sense through the grimoire.

Far away in the sky, there was a tiny black dot.

The dot was only the size of a sesame seed.

It was flying toward them.

Sylvar Crowe breathed out slowly.

"Luckily."

"The timing is perfect."

"What are you talking about?" Rory Mercury asked.

Sylvar Crowe scratched his head again.

"I was the one who asked the Flame Dragon to fly over here."

"But when I went back earlier, I completely forgot about it."

Rory Mercury looked at him.

"Your memory is terrible," she said.

Sylvar Crowe curled his lips.

What could he say?

Is it because she's a loli?

Is she deliberately making me lose my composure?

Sylvar Crowe simply turned his head away and stopped talking.

After a while, the Flame Dragon finally landed on the mountain.

The dragon lowered its head.

Two young dragons followed behind it.

Sylvar Crowe opened the grimoire.

He gave an order through the book.

The Flame Dragon immediately communicated the order to the two young dragons.

It told them to follow Sylvar Crowe.

Then Sylvar Crowe raised his hand.

He used the grimoire.

The Flame Dragon was sealed back into the book.

The Flame Dragon was simply too large to pass through the Gate.

However, the two young dragons were much smaller.

Each of them was about the height of two adult humans.

Their bodies were roughly four to five meters tall.

They were small enough to pass through the Gate.

It took only two seconds to seal the Flame Dragon into the grimoire.

After that, Sylvar Crowe opened another spatial passage.

He returned directly to the Gate with Rory Mercury.

The two young dragons followed them.

The young dragons walked out of the spatial passage.

They looked fierce and imposing.

When Sylvar Crowe saw their expressions, he suddenly had the urge to beat them.

However, time was a little tight right now.

He did not waste time.

He decided that their future masters could discipline them later.

Sylvar Crowe walked through the Gate again.

He returned to the base of the Black Bulls.

After returning, Sylvar Crowe used spatial magic once more.

He teleported directly back to his room.

The moment the two young dragons began stepping out of the spatial passage, Sylvar Crowe immediately pushed them back inside.

His room was simply too small.

There was absolutely no way those two dragons could fit inside.

If they did enter, the entire room would be destroyed.

Of course, he could ask Henry to repair it.

But then he would have to replace the bedding and everything else.

It would be extremely troublesome.

Sylvar Crowe opened the grimoire again.

He turned to the page containing the Flame Dragon.

He created a tiny opening in that page.

Through the grimoire, he allowed the Flame Dragon to communicate with the two young dragons.

The Flame Dragon told its children to stay quietly inside the room.

It told them not to move.

It told them they would be released later.

After confirming that the two dragon hatchlings were behaving obediently, Sylvar Crowe closed the grimoire.

He left the hidden room.

Sylvar Crowe looked at his watch.

The time was 7:50.

It was almost time for dinner.

It was time for everyone to gather in the dining hall.

Sylvar Crowe smiled slightly.

Now it was time for his performance.

He was about to start walking when he noticed something.

Rory Mercury had been lying on the bed.

Now she stood up and followed him.

Sylvar Crowe suddenly had a bad feeling.

Something terrible was going to happen.

However, he had no way to get rid of her.

Forget it.

Let fate decide.

First, Sylvar Crowe went to Henry's room.

He sealed Henry's magic ability that absorbed the magic power of others.

After finishing that, the two of them walked together toward the dining hall.

When they reached the door of the dining hall, Sylvar Crowe heard a large amount of noise coming from inside.

All kinds of loud voices were mixed together.

Sylvar Crowe immediately understood.

The Black Bulls had already gathered.

He raised his hand.

He pushed the door open.

"Hello everyone," Sylvar Crowe said.

"I'm back."

At first, there was silence.

Then suddenly the entire room exploded with noise.

Magna Swing shouted first.

"This trip to another world took longer than the last one!"

"Did you bring back anything good?"

Luck Voltia immediately spoke next.

"Did you become stronger?"

"Do you want to fight me?"

Finral Roulacase rushed forward immediately.

"Do you still have that same book from last time?"

"I learned a lot from it!"

Finral secretly thought in his heart.

Knowledge makes me stronger.

Knowledge gives me confidence.

Knowledge makes me fearless.

Sylvar Crowe was completely confused.

Wait.

Wasn't that the pickup artist book I brought last time?

Did I accidentally bring the wrong book?

Did I bring a book about building nuclear bombs instead?

Vanessa Enoteca rushed over next.

"Where is the wonderful wine from the other world?"

Charmy Pappitson also ran forward.

"Did you bring recipes from another world?"

Then Asta shouted loudly.

"How was your trip to another world?!"

Everyone spoke at the same time.

The entire dining hall became extremely noisy.

Finally someone could not tolerate the chaos anymore.

Captain Yami Sukehiro raised his fist.

He punched the wall.

The wall immediately cracked.

His face became dark.

"Shut up."

Everyone instantly became quiet.

"I'm sorry!" they all said at the same time.

This was the terrifying authority of Captain Yami.

Yami walked toward Sylvar Crowe.

Then he spoke in a very calm voice.

"Do you have any laxatives?"

"I'm almost out."

Sylvar Crowe's heart skipped a beat.

Wait.

The medicine seemed to have run out faster than last time.

But he forced himself to stay calm.

"I brought a lot this time."

"There are more than one hundred boxes."

"Each box contains about twenty pills."

"That means there are around two thousand pills."

Captain Yami's eyes immediately lit up.

He stretched out his hand toward Sylvar Crowe.

The meaning was obvious.

Sylvar Crowe immediately took out one hundred boxes of medicine from his storage.

Captain Yami grabbed all of them.

After that, Sylvar Crowe took out several books.

He handed them to Finral and Charmy.

Then he took out several bottles of 1982 Lafite.

He handed them to Vanessa.

Hopefully she wouldn't drink too much and go crazy again.

Then Sylvar Crowe opened another spatial passage.

He looked at Magna.

He smiled.

"Magna-senpai."

"I brought you something extremely cool this time."

"You will definitely like it."

Magna's eyes widened.

"Really?"

"Of course," Sylvar Crowe replied.

While speaking, he used spatial magic to connect the Gate room to the dining hall.

He waved his hand inside the passage.

A young dragon walked out.

Magna's eyes became even wider.

"What kind of monster is that?!"

"It looks amazing!"

Sylvar Crowe shook his head.

"This is not a monster."

"It is a dragon from another world."

"Of course, this is not an adult dragon."

"An adult dragon is about as tall as the Black Bulls base."

"This one was only born not long ago."

Magna suddenly became extremely excited.

"A dragon?!"

"Really?!"

"Give it to me!"

"Of course," Sylvar Crowe replied.

Magna immediately jumped onto the dragon's back.

The young dragon flapped its wings.

It began flying around the dining hall.

Sylvar Crowe watched this scene.

It seems the Flame Dragon raised its children well.

They had not become completely wild.

At this moment, Vanessa suddenly noticed something.

She looked behind Sylvar Crowe.

Henry was standing there.

Next to him was a small girl she had never seen before.

"Who is that little girl?" Vanessa asked.

"She has been standing beside you the entire time."

Sylvar Crowe immediately spoke.

"She is a friend I met in another world."

At that moment, Rory Mercury suddenly spoke.

"But that's not the only relationship."

"He is also my future fiancé."

Sylvar Crowe's eyes widened instantly.

Is Rory trying to kill me?

The entire dining hall suddenly became silent.

Sylvar Crowe panicked.

"No!"

"When did we get engaged?!"

Rory Mercury spoke calmly.

"You took me away from the man who wanted to force me to marry him."

"Isn't that marriage by abduction?"

"If that is the case, then you are naturally my fiancé."

However, from the angle that only Sylvar Crowe could see, Rory Mercury revealed a sinister smile.

Sylvar Crowe felt a headache forming.

"That logic sounds extremely unreasonable," he said.

Before Rory Mercury could speak again, Finral suddenly rushed forward.

"You bastard!"

"She is such a young girl!"

"Are you even human?!"

Finral's voice contained both anger and envy.

Sylvar Crowe became speechless.

"Let me introduce her properly first," he said.

"This is the friend I met in another world."

"Her name is Rory Mercury."

"And the most important point."

"She is nine hundred and sixty-one years old."

"She is also a believer of the God of Death."

"She is quite dangerous."

Silence filled the room.

The amount of information was simply too large.

"Calling me dangerous is too much, dear," Rory Mercury said softly.

The moment Sylvar Crowe heard the word "dear," his entire body trembled.

He did not dare respond.

After Rory finished speaking, everyone finally reacted.

"Is that true?!"

"She's more than nine hundred years old?!"

Sylvar Crowe raised his hand slightly.

He began explaining.

"Even though it sounds difficult to believe, it is very likely true."

"I have learned a little about their world."

"Their world is different from ours."

"In that world, breaking through the limits of lifespan is relatively simple."

"That is because there are beings known as gods in their world."

The dining hall immediately filled with shocked voices.

"Is that really possible?"

"Gods actually exist in another world?"

Sylvar Crowe watched everyone reacting.

He decided to give them some time to process the information.

He turned his head.

He asked Rory Mercury to sit down.

Then the two of them began eating.

They completely ignored the others who were still shocked.
