"So you want to go and take a look at the other world? The only world you can go to now is the one where the gate is. My magic that allows travel to other worlds hasn't stored enough magic power yet." Sylvar Crowe said.
Everyone who was eating froze for a moment. They could go to another world right now. This was the legendary other world!
"Good!"
"I want to go!"
"And me!"
Everyone immediately expressed their desire to go.
Seeing this, Sylvar spoke to Henry.
"Senior Henry, use your magic to clear the way."
Henry's grimoire floated upward. Then the rock beneath their feet rose as a whole. The stone platform lifted them up and began floating toward the deeper parts of the Black Bulls' base.
As they moved forward, the walls along the path opened to the sides one after another like doors. They slid apart quietly, as if they were mechanisms that could be controlled freely.
This was Henry's Castle Magic.
While they were moving forward, they suddenly passed a restroom. They saw Captain Yami standing at the door, fastening his belt.
Captain Yami also noticed them. He looked at the group with confusion.
"What are you guys doing? Oh, Sylvar, the medicine you brought back this time doesn't seem right! It doesn't seem as effective as the last time."
When Sylvar heard the captain say that, he immediately realized something.
The next answer might decide whether he lived or died.
So he spoke cautiously.
"After all, every world is different. The medicine in each world is also different. If it isn't as effective as last time… that's normal."
Captain Yami clicked his tongue.
"Tsk."
Then he asked again.
"By the way, where are you going?"
After Sylvar explained the situation, Captain Yami decided to join their sightseeing group for the trip to the other world.
The rock platform continued moving deeper into the Black Bulls' base. After arriving at a certain area, Henry used his magic again and opened a hidden passage.
Everyone saw a concealed room.
Finral looked at the thickness of the wall. It was nearly five meters thick.
"A normal person wouldn't be able to detect something this thick."
Sylvar spoke.
"From now on, we'll rely on Senior Finral's Spatial Magic to pass through. Since this is the first time, I'll lead the way."
"I'm a senior, not a coachman!" Finral protested loudly.
After passing through the five-meter-thick wall, they saw a palace-like structure standing inside the dark and empty hall.
The Gate.
Sylvar looked at everyone and spoke seriously.
"Now allow me to formally introduce it. This is the gate that leads to another world."
Magna walked around the structure while looking it up and down.
"No matter how I look at it, this just looks like an ordinary building," Magna said curiously.
Vanessa asked, "Isn't this gate supposed to be open?"
"It's already open," Sylvar replied. "You just need to walk through it."
Henry directly controlled the stone platform and floated it forward through the gate.
They passed through.
The moment they stepped out from the other side of the gate, a completely different world appeared in front of them.
Various fantastical races filled the streets.
Orcs. Dwarves. Many strange beings that existed only in legends in their own world.
"This is another world."
When Finral saw an orc woman with furry ears, he completely lost control of himself and immediately ran over to flirt.
Captain Yami and Magna went off to find a casino.
Vanessa went to find a tavern.
Charmy was instantly drawn away by the smell of food floating through the air.
Asta disappeared somewhere to play.
Almost everyone had scattered. Only a few shy ones remained behind.
Gray. Gordon. And Henry.
Sylvar looked around.
What is going on? I haven't even finished explaining anything and everyone already ran off.
He sighed in his heart.
These unreliable guys really won't listen to explanations.
He looked at Henry again. Then he checked his watch.
There were only about thirty minutes.
That was the limit. Henry couldn't remain outside for too long.
He then looked at Henry, Gray, and Gordon, who were standing there with nowhere to go.
The three of them were the most inactive members of the squad. Asking them to go out and have fun would just make things awkward.
After thinking for a moment, Sylvar came up with a solution.
He turned to Rory Mercury and said, "Rory, take them around and show them this place. Oh, and one more important thing. Don't go too far. In a few minutes, Senior Henry will have to go back to his room and lie down again."
After saying that, Sylvar turned around and left.
The four people who remained looked at each other.
Henry was the first to greet.
"Hello."
"Hello."
Rory pouted slightly, clearly looking unhappy. Even so, she still took the three quiet members out to walk around the city.
Meanwhile, Sylvar began thinking.
Where should I go?
Then he suddenly remembered something.
Power bank.
No… that's not the right way to say it.
My lovely elves.
He immediately opened a spatial passage and headed toward the elves.
He found the Elf Chief and spoke quickly.
"There isn't much time this time, so just gather the nearby elves. Whoever is available is fine. There's nothing else to do. I just need some magic power."
The Elf Chief immediately went to gather the nearby elves.
Fifteen minutes later, Sylvar looked at his grimoire.
There were now five hundred additional units of magic power stored inside.
A smile appeared on his face.
He sealed the gates again.
One round trip meant that no energy had been wasted.
The magic power sealed inside his grimoire had now reached a total of one thousand five hundred units.
Looking at the abundant amount of magic power, Sylvar suddenly became curious.
If he tried to replenish the gate's energy, how much would it require?
He directly injected one hundred units of magic power into the image of the gate inside his grimoire.
The result appeared immediately.
The gate's magic energy barely changed at all.
What the hell?!
There was no visible change after spending one hundred units?!
Do you want me to dump one thousand units into this thing?!
Should I go in and test it?
When that impulsive thought appeared in his mind, he quickly tried to suppress it.
He spoke to himself repeatedly in his heart.
Impulse is the devil.
Impulse is the devil.
After thanking the Elf Chief for the hospitality, Sylvar returned to the gate.
When he came back, he saw the inactive trio already waiting there again.
Just as he expected.
They really hadn't gone anywhere.
Rory leaned closer and whispered in Sylvar's ear.
"Who are those three people? They're so strange."
Sylvar quietly observed Henry, Gray, and Gordon.
Then he whispered back.
"Even though those three may look unreliable, they're actually very good people."
After saying that, he coughed heavily.
Then he spoke to them.
"Let's go back to the Black Bulls' base first. I'll go call the captain and the others back."
After sending Henry back to his room and removing the seal, Sylvar and Rory went out to search for the other members of the Black Bulls.
This was also to reduce the energy consumption of the gate.
If the gate stayed open continuously, it would consume energy much faster.
From the test earlier, Sylvar realized something.
Even if he used all of the magic power he had stored now, it might not even fill one percent of the gate's total energy capacity.
Therefore, if there was nothing urgent, temporarily sealing the gate was the wisest decision.
However, the gate that led to this world could not be removed.
Because it represented the coordinates of an entire world.
Sometimes those coordinates could become extremely important.
Even if they didn't know when it would matter, it still needed to remain.
Sylvar activated a scanning circle and searched the entire city.
He found Captain Yami and Magna inside a gambling hall.
After some persuasion, Captain Yami spat to the side and said with an unhappy expression,
"I'll leave after this round."
He then found Asta and Noelle at a place where orcs were arm wrestling.
And Nero was sitting on Asta's head.
After hearing Sylvar's message, Asta immediately agreed to return to the base.
Inside a tavern, Sylvar found Charmy eating happily and Vanessa drinking happily.
Finral was also there.
He was currently flirting with several orc women.
Finral and Charmy both looked reluctant, while Vanessa was already drunk and unconscious.
Even so, Sylvar told them to return to the base immediately.
Inside a toy shop, he found Gauche selecting a gift for his sister.
Even though Gauche looked unhappy about leaving, he still agreed to return.
Inside an arena, Sylvar found Luck fighting several orcs using only physical techniques.
It was only a simple fight without magic.
Otherwise Luck would probably have killed someone already.
Standing on the high platform of the arena, Sylvar shouted loudly.
"Senior Luck, we need to return to the base. Stop playing!"
Luck smiled brightly.
"What a pity! I wanted to fight them a few more times."
Quiet voices spread through the surrounding crowd.
"That plague god is finally leaving."
"When he fights he looks like a demon."
"Thank goodness."
Amid everyone's relieved gazes, Luck left the arena together with Sylvar.
Sylvar noticed the expressions of relief around them.
He glanced at Luck, who was smiling happily beside him.
What exactly did you do to these people?
When everyone finally returned to the Black Bulls' base, Sylvar sealed the gate again.
Then he looked at the remaining baby dragon.
He spoke to the group.
"Does anyone want a baby dragon? If you want one, you can take it."
Luck glanced at it.
"Too weak. Boring."
Captain Yami looked at it briefly and walked away without interest.
Magna already had one, so he also wasn't interested.
Asta raised both hands and shouted loudly.
"I want it!"
Sylvar looked at Asta and sighed.
If he gave the dragon to Asta, there was a high chance Asta might not be able to raise it properly.
After thinking for a moment, he decided to give it to him anyway.
After all, it was Asta's decision.
"Asta, I can give you this baby dragon. But if you can't keep it alive, I'll have to release it."
Asta patted his chest confidently.
"No problem!"
Sylvar thought about it again.
Asta probably wanted the dragon because he couldn't fly.
Even a baby dragon could fly.
Sylvar looked around.
Everything seemed settled.
Finally, he could rest.
It had been a long time since he had slept properly.
Just as he was about to leave and return to his room, he noticed a beautiful figure standing behind him from the corner of his eye.
His body stiffened instantly.
Sylvar turned around awkwardly and forced a laugh.
"Now that I think about it, I still haven't arranged a room for Rory yet. I'll go prepare one immediately."
Rory chuckled.
"No need. I'll just stay in your room."
"But that's my room. I want to sleep there," Sylvar said.
"That's fine. We can sleep in the same bed, dear," Rory said with a smile.
What do you mean that's fine?!
That matters a lot!
Sylvar felt a headache forming.
At that moment, Vanessa suddenly peeked out from the corner and pulled Rory away.
"This is perfect. Come meet some new friends tonight," Vanessa said.
"What? But I want to sleep with my dear," Rory said.
"It's fine. I'll borrow your room for one night," Vanessa replied.
Sylvar let out a long breath of relief.
Then he returned to his room.
