"Young man, I heard from our Jomsviking commander, that our chief has just passed away"

Arthur turned his head to look at the man standing in front of him, he was doing push ups, so he couldn't really stop, well he chose not too.

"7, Thors I know you mean well, my father's trust in you and Thorkell have always been good, and with me, it won't change anything, 8".

Thors looked outside the small hut, making sure no one was around the hut that he just entered, he closed it discreetly and knelt down, "my chief, me, Thorkell and Ragar, have always been loyal supporters of your family, nothing will change this".

Arthur stood up dusting his hands off, he took a quick huff and nodded, "I know this and what of Ragnar, he isn't planning on doing his own thing is he, mm".

Thors looked up and saw his chief frowning while his attention was entirely on a singular direction.

"Thors, come with me, I.. something is calling for me", "wait!, don't go, wait for Thorkell to prepare..".

He watched as Arthur already left, he gritted his teeth, grabbed a short sword, holstered it on his belt and followed behind him.

Arthur kept hearing a vibration in his mind, if he looked in a certain direction, it would vibrate less, so he kept going in the direction in which was vibrating the most.

As he kept walking, he kept thinking about when he just came into this world in just a 4 year old body, till now a 15 year old.

He remembered his mother's last wish, "son, my son, who.., who'll be king, promise me, you won't go and rape and kill at every turn like those other Jomsviking".

"I promise, but for taking in a wife after my ventures, it's a common thing mother, you must understand this, if I don't do it, the other Vikings will definitely betray..".

"I know, it's how I met your father, he brought me back, he didn't use their brutality, he brought me warmth and I.." 'cough' 'cough' 'cough'.

"Mother, you need more rest, speaking any more, will only make your..", "I know I'm dying, let me finish what I was going to tell you", after drinking the water Arthur gave, she spoke with bright eyes.

"You.. you are the son of a half god, and half dragon, your grandfather is called Daemon Blackfyre, and your father is the son of.., 'cough' 'cough' 'cough', the son of Balduh, the god of time and love".

Arthur was completely stunned, [Blackfyre and Balduh, aren't these two completely different world's, I could've sworn I was in the Vinland saga, what the hell is happening, is she saying I'm a quarter god and dragon.]

Arthur woke up from his past thoughts and he came across a large lake, glowing brightly before him, he was about to take another step further, before his foot got caught by a water tentacle.

He looked down and before he knew it, he was being dragged into the lake, 'gurgle', [fuck!.., why!.., why am I being bullied by a water tentacle, does this world hate me that much.]

He passed out from the lack of oxygen, some time past and he woke up in a cave, 'cough' 'cough' 'cough' 'cough', "well.., I survived it seems.., and I don't seem to be monster shit".

He slowly sat up and in his eyes, was a reflection of a giant ominous door, "did that thing bring me here to open this.., what if another monster crawls out of it".

'Cough' 'cough', spitting out the remaining water stuck in his lungs, he stood up rather quickly, he didn't even hesitate to sprint towards it.

Looking at the intricate carvings, he understood something slightly, "these are magic runes, father talked about these before he died of old wound's".

He pressed his hand on the door and to his surprise, it opened easily, he was about to enter, but his throat was grabbed by a woman's hand and he was forcibly dragged into the half open door.

Falling to the ground, he shook his head and wiped his face full of dirt, "did I just get man handled, me a half man, man handled, by a delicate hand".

"Speak!, who are you mortal!, this place is no place for someone like yourself", Arthur sat up slowly with one hand on his knee.

Looking at the woman before him, he was slighty surprised by her appearance, but he didn't let it affect him, not while a blade is pressed against his neck.

"I dunno, I felt a vibration calling for me, it still is even now, when I arrived at a lake, I was suddenly dragged into it and.., I awoke in that cave".

"Something calling for you?..", the woman raised her eyebrow, then smiled brightly, "is that so.., then why don't you show me in which direction.., this vibration you say, is calling you too".

Arthur nodded and slowly rose from the ground, "it's much stronger now, ulghh!!, shit it's getting worse".

The woman behind Arthur stared intently at the place they had arrived at, she turned to Arthur holding his head, then back at the woman sat on a rock with a sword in hand.

"Heh, so you've chosen him, huh, ey Mirend", the woman didn't get a response from Mirend, in fact she completely ignored her presence as she floated along the water towards Arthur.

Mirend's hand touched Arthur's head and he passed out instantly, "he has alot of power, to think the sword I just created, has already chosen it's master".

The woman behind Mirend was a little stunned hearing this, "what power does he possess?".

Mirend used her water magic to carry Arthur and she turned to face the woman with a flat expression, "you really can't sense his god hood, he has only just awakened it, although weak, he'll be a formidable god in the future, only for a short while, as he has mortal blood".

The woman's hand was hovering over the hilt and was gripping it tightly, "he will not be like your father, this sword chooses those who will rule, rather than scheme".

The woman's hand slightly loosened on her hilt, she gazed at Arthur with a strange glint her eyes, before leaving she said to Mirend, "inform me of him awakening, I'm leaving, the door isn't guarded and as I'm it's guard, I can't leave for to long".

Mirend ignored her altogether, a woman of few word's she was, she prefered making and crafting ornaments, jewelry and even weapons.

A week passed by and Arthur slowly opened his eyes and he felt a heavy weight pressed on his chest, he gazed at the sword lying there with half closed eyes.

He could feel it humming as if it was trying to express it's happiness of his awakening.

"You're awake, before I send you back to where you came, I want to know something first".

Arthur shot up and instinctively placed the sword against the woman's throat, she just smiled at his attempt to make himself feel safe.

Arthur could feel it, he didn't know why, but he could feel her power and it was suffocating him.

"Relax, I was just testing you.., as I said, I want to know something", Arthur glanced around the room, seeing it was just the two, he nodded.

Mirend smiled brightly and she leaned forward, "I want to know what the name of that sword your holding will be?".

Arthur closed his eyes as if the sword was telling him it's name, he started breathing heavily and he spoke in a rasp voice, "it's called Lady".

Mirend clasped her hands together and Arthur found himself in front of the giant door, "so she threw you away after you woke up, it's just like her, she doesn't like anyone in her presence but her own creation's".

Arthur turned around and saw the woman walking towards him in quick strides, "I'm the opposite, I hate being alone, the only one I can speak with can't even speak back..".

Arthur was going through countless word's in his head, this woman truly looked familiar, "although I like it's presence, it's too boring, without any further scruples, I'm just gonna be out with it..".

Arthur thought she was about to ask him for a long chatting session like those he'd hear on the Viking meals, but to his surprise she didn't say that.

"I want to follow you on your journey, don't worry, I won't get involved in mortal affair's, but if a mortal attacks me, that's a different story".

"You keep talking about mortals and such, are you a god or something", the woman froze for a moment and she started tearing up before laughing hysterically.

"Rahahahaha!, I am, I am the goddess of death, the goddess Hela", "that goddess, the one that rules Valhalla's evil".

Hela's eyes instantly went cold when he said this, "Fenrir!.., if you think we Aesir God's are easy to anger, you'd be correct!".

A giant black wolf ripped through a portal, jumping in front of Hela, growling at Arthur who was now standing in a defensive posture.

Hela seeing Arthur already preparing to fight, tapped her wolf's fur, "I'm sorry, I let my anger get the better of me, I truly meant what I just said, I want to follow you on your journey".

Arthur looked between the two and reluctantly nodded, "alright, but.., what about his size, if he comes into my house like this, I'm afraid he won't fit".

Slowly putting down the sword, he could feel something within him growing, "he can shrink, you don't need to worry about that".

Arthur nodded, turned around and pushed open the giant door leading back into the cave, he could feel Hela walking behind him, so he decided not to say anything.

Until he reached a weird backwards waterfall that made no sense to his current understanding, "do we just jump into this..", he felt a sudden force from behind and he didn't even get a chance to think, he got sucked into the waterfall.

Hela behind quickly followed after pushing him into it and when they reached the surface, Hela dragged Arthur to the ground.

'Sniff', "this air it's been awhile since I've experienced the outside", Arthur didn't like how we was being treated, though he didn't speak about it, he showed it on his face.

"By the way, I'm curious, are the seven gods and old gods real", Hela stopped breathing in the air and frowned.

"There's no such thing, it's most likely my father roaming around and playing with the mortals with his half brother".
