Chapter 6 - Seducing the Beast lord 3

Jisoo took a shaky step closer, trying to keep her shoulders back and her chin high. Okay, Jisoo… confident, flirty, badass… somehow, she reminded herself.

"Uh… you know," she started, twirling a strand of hair around her finger—an attempt at charm that looked more like she was nervously playing with spaghetti. "I… I could, you know… be really… helpful… to you. Maybe."

The Beast Lord tilted his head, golden eyes scanning her like a predator examining prey. "Helpful?" he asked, voice smooth, dangerous, and amused. "Do you even know what that entails, human?"

Oh no… do I know what it entails?! Jisoo panicked. Probably not… probably something terrifying… maybe I should run again… no, survive first… seduce second…

"Of course!" she said quickly, attempting to sound casual and confident. "I mean… I'm strong, right? I can handle myself… so… maybe I can help you with… stuff. Dangerous stuff."

Her voice wavered at the end, and she cursed herself silently. Okay… that sounded completely insane. Totally insane. Maybe he'll think I'm clever? Or maybe he'll eat me.

The Beast Lord's smirk deepened. "You talk too much," he said, each word deliberate, low, and dangerous. "Most humans beg silently. You… chatter. And yet… I find it… entertaining."

Entertaining?! YES! That's good, right?! Jisoo thought, bouncing on the balls of her feet nervously. Sort of…? Maybe?!

She decided to take another gamble. "Well… if you're entertained," she said, tilting her head and attempting what she hoped was a sly, flirty smile, "maybe you'd like… to get to know me… better. Carefully. I promise… I'm fun."

The Beast Lord's golden gaze narrowed, and he stepped closer. Closer?! Oh no… Jisoo froze mid-step, every instinct screaming at her to run—but somehow, she couldn't move.

"You sure are… bold," he said softly, smirk curling. "And reckless. Most humans would be begging for mercy by now.

Okay… bold and reckless. That's true. Also completely terrified… Jisoo muttered to herself.

Her heart was racing, adrenaline pumping, and for a second she imagined herself being completely dead. But then a little spark of defiance flared. No. I'm not just going to cower. I'm strong. I can survive this. And maybe… I can do this weird system objective too… somehow.

Jisoo straightened again, shoulders back, and muttered under her breath: Alright, Beast Lord… let's see how much chaos a human can make you endure.

The Beast Lord tilted his head, his smirk deepening like he already knew exactly what she was thinking. And maybe… he enjoyed it more than she cared to admit.

At the far end of the forest clearing, seated upon an elevated platform of black stone, sat the Second Female Lead—the one who had framed the innocent female lead in the novel. Her posture was perfect, regal, and sharp, radiating arrogance like it could slice through the trees themselves.

A beast servant, small but swift, approached her cautiously. "My Queen," it said, bowing low. "There is… a human… with the Beast Lord of the South."

The Second Female Lead froze mid-motion, a glint of surprise flashing in her eyes. Then, in a single, fluid movement, she rose from her throne. "What?" Her voice was sharp, commanding, impossible to ignore.

Meanwhile, Jisoo's chaotic thoughts were spinning faster than ever. Huh is that her. That's second female lead from the novel. Oh, oh, oh… this just got way more fun—and terrifying.

The system pinged suddenly in her mind, sharp and insistent:

[Objective Updated: Locate the second female lead. Threat level: High.]

Jisoo flinched at the sudden notification. "Locate… her? High threat? Uh… okay… I got this," she muttered, trying to sound confident while her heart hammered like a drum.

Another ping followed almost immediately:

[Warning: Human combat potential detected near Beast Lord of the South. Maintain discretion.]

"Discretion… sure… totally… I can do that," Jisoo whispered sarcastically, pacing in a tiny circle, trying to look casual. Casual… yeah, right. Totally casual while facing the freaking villain from my favorite novel.

The Second Female Lead's sharp gaze swept across the forest, narrowing slightly. "Is… this human dangerous?" she hissed, her tone low, calculating.

A third system notification rang in Jisoo's mind, making her almost spill her own thoughts aloud:

[Advice: Use charm, wit, and strength to assess threat. Objective: Survive encounter. Optional: Distract or confront the second female lead.]

Jisoo's eyes darted between the looming Beast Lord and the elegantly terrifying villain in the distance. Charm, wit, and strength… okay, that's… kind of my style. Maybe. Hopefully. Possibly.

The Beast Lord's golden eyes shifted slightly toward her, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. Oh no… he knows. Of course he knows. Why wouldn't he know? Jisoo's internal panic kicked up another notch.

The system pinged again, rapid-fire this time, almost drowning out her thoughts:

[Status Update: Beast Lord's interest: Moderate. Human's threat level: Exceptional. Suggested action: Proceed with caution.]

[Alert: Villain's focus detected. Distance: 200 meters. Approach with strategy.]

[Tip: Chaotic behavior may increase combat skill gain.]

Jisoo groaned audibly, throwing her hands up. Chaotic behavior… yeah, I'm basically a walking disaster, but okay… if this gets me stronger, I'll take it.

Her heart pounded, her mind whirling, but one thought cut through all the panic: Finally… face-to-face with the villain who made the poor female lead's life a nightmare. Time to make her regret every single thing.

With a deep breath, she whispered under her breath, mostly to herself, "Alright, Beast World… let's see how much chaos one human can cause."

And the system chimed again, almost gleefully:

[Reminder: Seduce Beast Lord of the South. Optional: Engage villain strategically. Chaos increases potential reward.]

Jisoo groaned. Oh no… really? You again?! But a wicked grin spread across her face. Fine. Chaos it is. Let's do this.
