Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prologue

Thirty thousand years ago. Angel Nebula, Angelic Royal City.

In the most prosperous commercial district of the Royal City, a restaurant hung with a wooden sign reading "Youyi Village" stood nestled among the gleaming Angelic architecture. Despite its surroundings, the establishment possessed a grounded, earthly atmosphere that felt entirely alien to the rest of the city—a small slice of another world.

"Another order of Guo Bao Rou! Make it sweet and sour style!"

"Over here, add a tomato stir-fried egg and a sauerkraut fish—extra sauerkraut, less spicy!"

"Fifty extra-spicy grilled skewers! Hurry it up, we're in a rush!"

The chaotic shouting rose and fell like waves, nearly lifting the roof off the restaurant. The main hall was packed to capacity, every table occupied by chattering patrons. The unique aroma of Earth-style dishes mingled with the scent of alcohol, causing passing Angels to frequently glance inside with undisguised curiosity.

The servers weaving through the tables and chairs were all Angel ladies. They wore well-tailored maid outfits, with pure white silk stockings wrapping their straight, slender legs. Their golden hair made their delicate features shine even brighter. In every movement, they possessed both the holiness of Angels and a touch of spirited grace, leaving many male Angels in the hall staring wide-eyed.

No one would have guessed that the owner of this restaurant—the most popular spot in the entire Royal City—was an "outcast" without wings.

Chu Mo leaned against the counter, watching the crowded hall with a faint smile. He hailed from Earth and had transmigrated to the Angel Nebula several years ago. When he first arrived, he discovered he had neither a System to assist him nor any "Golden Finger" cheat abilities—just himself, alone in an unfamiliar universe.

To survive, he opened this "Youyi Village." Who would have thought that home-cooked dishes, so common on Earth, would cause such a sensation in the Angelic Royal City? The crispy sweet and sour pork, the fresh and tender sauerkraut fish, the spicy and addictive skewers—these flavors, which had never appeared on any Angelic menu, acted like a key, unlocking the taste buds of every Angel who tried them.

Business exploded. Chu Mo earned a fortune, transforming from a penniless transmigrator into a well-known tycoon in the Royal City.

And his shop had one very special regular.

---

Amidst the noise of the hall, two figures walked in, one after the other. The leading man wore a white robe with gold trim. His face was handsome but carried a hint of arrogance—an innate nobility etched into his brow. This was the Angelic Crown Prince, the man who would later stir the winds and clouds of the Angel Nebula: Hua Ye.

Following behind him was a man with a more effeminate aura and a flattering look in his eyes—Hua Ye's confidant, Su Mali.

As soon as Hua Ye entered, he shouted at the top of his lungs: "Old Chu! Waiting for you on the second floor. Food and wine, the usual!"

His tone was familiar, almost brotherly. As his eyes swept over the Angel waitresses in maid outfits, they flashed with undisguised desire. Ignoring the stares of the surrounding diners, he headed straight for the second floor. Su Mali followed closely behind.

Chu Mo poked his head out from behind the counter and called back: "Understood, Your Highness! I'll be right up!"

After speaking, he turned and hurried into the kitchen to give the chef instructions. He personally grabbed a jar of wine before heading upstairs.

---

The Trade for Power

The private room on the second floor was reserved specifically for Hua Ye, with decor much finer than downstairs. Currently, Hua Ye was leaning by the window, his gaze fixed on the Angel girls moving below. His expression gradually turned lecherous.

He slapped Su Mali beside him and grinned. "Hey, I have to say, Old Chu's taste is really something. Each one of them is sleek and beautiful—way more interesting than those stiff female Angels in the palace!"

Su Mali glanced in the same direction and spoke unhurriedly: "Your Highness, the clothes certainly help. But in terms of looks, I still think He Xi is more beautiful..."

"Fine, fine!" Hua Ye waved him off irritably, rolling his eyes. "I know you're obsessed with He Xi—you don't need to nag about it every day!"

As they spoke, the door opened. Chu Mo entered carrying the wine jar. He bowed respectfully to Hua Ye before taking a seat and skillfully pouring a glass.

As the amber liquid swirled in the glass, Chu Mo smiled. "Your Highness, this wine is a fifty-year-old vintage. Would you like a taste?"

Hua Ye glanced at the glass, then at Chu Mo, and snorted nonchalantly. "The wine isn't important. Where's the girl to drink with me? That little cutie, Hong Yu—where is she?"

The smile on Chu Mo's face didn't flicker, but he sighed inwardly. He quickly replied, "Please wait a moment, Your Highness. I'll have Hong Yu come up right away."

He paused, then shifted the conversation with a cautious tone: "Your Highness, about that First-Generation Angel Gene...?"

This was the matter closest to Chu Mo's heart.

He was a human from Earth with a lifespan of only a few decades. A First-Generation Angel Gene would not only grant him wings and the combat power of an Angel but would also break the shackles of his mortality, allowing him to live for ten thousand years.

To obtain this gene, Chu Mo had spent years sucking up to Hua Ye. Giving money and gifts went without saying; even when Hua Ye took an interest in the Angel servers in the shop, Chu Mo had to comply. After all, Hua Ye was the Crown Prince. As soon as the old Angel King, Hua Que, passed away, he would become the new ruler.

Hearing this, Hua Ye raised an eyebrow and waved his hand dismissively. "Oh, that? It's already settled. Come find me in two days. Don't worry, I'm still counting on you to make me more money and find me more Angel girls!"

Chu Mo's eyes lit up instantly. A massive weight fell from his chest. Suppressing his excitement, he showed a look of wild joy. "Thank you, Your Highness! Thank you!"

He quickly poured a glass for Su Mali as well, raising his cup with a smile. "Come, Manager Su, let's have a drink!"

Su Mali picked up his glass, gave it a light clink, and a meaningful, wicked smile curled at the corners of his mouth. "Then, congratulations in advance, Brother Chu."

The Evolution

The door opened again, and an Angel lady in a maid outfit walked in. Her golden hair draped over her shoulders; she had a gentle face and an intellectual aura. This was the supervisor of Chu Mo's servers, Hong Yu.

Hong Yu's husband had died in battle years ago. She had been struggling to make a living when she met Chu Mo. Seeing how capable she was, he made her a manager. Later, when Hua Ye took a liking to her, Chu Mo had been deeply conflicted. However, Hong Yu had taken the initiative to say: "Boss, if this worn-out body of mine can help you, it would be my blessing."

Chu Mo owed Hong Yu a debt of gratitude and could only secretly vow to repay her twofold in the future.

Hong Yu walked straight to Hua Ye, picked up a glass, and gently fed it to his lips.

Hua Ye tilted his head back to drink, then reached out and pulled Hong Yu onto his lap, laughing lecherously. "Little cutie, you haven't come to see me in so long. Did you miss me?"

Hong Yu's cheeks flushed slightly as she pushed against his chest, her voice carrying a hint of a pout. "Your Highness, you're so annoying..."

Hua Ye's fingers brushed through her golden hair, his fingertips grazing her face, his eyes full of mockery. Chu Mo and Su Mali exchanged a glance and tactfully drank their wine, appearing blind to the scene before them.

---

Two days later, Chu Mo arrived at Hua Ye's palace as agreed.

Hua Ye led him into a hidden laboratory filled with various instruments Chu Mo didn't recognize. An Angelic Research Officer in a white coat was already waiting. Seeing Hua Ye enter, the officer bowed respectfully.

"Your Highness."

"Begin," Hua Ye waved.

Chu Mo took a deep breath and lay down on the experimental table. A cold needle pierced his skin, and a warm liquid flowed through his veins to every part of his body. Immediately after, an indescribable swelling pain swept through his limbs and bones.

His bones popped and crackled. It felt as if something was trying to burst out of his back. Gradually, his consciousness drifted into sleep.

When Chu Mo snapped his eyes open, he didn't know how much time had passed.

He instinctively raised his hand, feeling the power surging within his body. With a thought, a pair of snow-white wings extended from his back. The feathers were light, yet they carried the strength to tear through the air.

He could clearly feel his senses becoming incredibly sharp. The shackles on his lifespan were completely broken; a long, enduring vitality flowed within him.

Chu Mo had officially become a First-Generation Angel!

Retracting his wings, he hurried out of the lab. He happened to run into Hua Ye leaning against a pillar, with a pretty female Angel snuggled beside him, massaging his leg.

Chu Mo stepped forward quickly and handed over a heavy bag of money, his face full of gratitude. "Your Highness, words cannot express my thanks! Please accept this small token of my appreciation!"

Hua Ye glanced at the money bag, tossed it carelessly to a nearby guard, and waved his hand dismissively. "No need to be so polite with me."

He pointed to his own leg and laughed. "How does it feel to be an Angel?"

"Excellent!" Chu Mo took a deep breath, his eyes bright. "It's all thanks to your help, Your Highness. I will always remember your kindness!"

Hua Ye grinned and patted his shoulder. "Hey, following me, Hua Ye—could I ever let you lose out? To be honest, the money you've sent me over the years couldn't actually buy a First-Generation gene."

Chu Mo looked up at the smile on Hua Ye's face and smiled along with him.

However, no one saw the sharp glint that flashed through the depths of his eyes as he looked down.
