Camille slammed both hands against the steel blast door instantly.
The impact rattled painfully through her arms.
Nothing moved.
The massive door had sealed completely between them with a deafening metallic finality.
No gaps. No handles. No way through.
Her heartbeat exploded into panic.
"Open it"
Elena grabbed her arm immediately.
"Camille"
"No!"
She pulled away violently before hitting the emergency controls beside the wall repeatedly.
Nothing happened.
The system was dead.
Behind the sealed door
gunfire still echoed faintly.
Then came another monstrous roar from Subject One.
Camille's blood ran cold.
"Dante!"
Victor's frantic voice crackled through the comms.
"The lockdown sealed the tunnel sectors automatically"
"Open it!"
"I'm trying"
Adrian moved quickly toward the control panel beside the blast door, fingers flying across damaged wiring.
"It's not responding."
Camille hit the steel again harder.
"Dante!"
