The Ice Age
During the Paleolithic era, the world entered a long and brutal Ice Age.
Massive glaciers spread across continents, burying forests and valleys beneath endless fields of ice. Temperatures dropped to deadly levels, and many animals vanished from the frozen wilderness.
For most human species, survival became nearly impossible.
But the Demuman adapted.
Their large bodies, thick skin, and powerful muscles allowed them to endure the cold far better than other humans. While many tribes starved or froze, Demuman hunters traveled across frozen plains with confidence.
They tracked animals through blizzards and icy winds, bringing down massive prey with their strength and skill.
During the Ice Age, the Demuman became some of the most successful hunters on Earth.
Despite their fearsome appearance, the Demuman were not naturally cruel. Among their kind, honesty and loyalty were sacred values. To lie or betray another Demuman was considered the greatest possible crime.
Because of this, their tribes were united and disciplined.
During this same time, other human species still lived across the planet.
Among them were the powerful Neanderthals and the emerging Homo sapiens.
But the Ice Age was merciless.
Over generations, many Neanderthal groups slowly disappeared as food became scarce and the climate grew harsher.
Homo sapiens, however, began to adapt in new ways.
At first, humans feared the towering Demuman. Their size, tusks, and single eye made them appear almost like creatures from myth.
But fear slowly turned into curiosity.
Some human tribes began cooperating with the Demuman.
Together they hunted giant animals, shared fire, and survived the endless winter.
For a time, the two species lived side by side in the frozen world.
But thousands of years later, human history would forget that the Demuman had ever existed.
