Kabel traveled futher and futher down the stream so far in fact that all the other children had long lost track of him. They played in th shallow edges of the stream or hide and seek while he simply kept walking.
Eventually the stream became wider and deeper as the forest became more and more wild. It was hard to even walk in most parts of the forest and it was only due too the lack of vegetation that followed the water was he allowed to keep going.
After an unknown amount of time his legs started to become a tired which he took as a signal that he should start to walk back. Just as he decided that he saw that only a bit futher on the path there seemd to be a drop.
He had seen from that view at the village cheifs house that the forest surrounding the village had quite flat elevation and he had walked far but no that far. He went too the edge of it and too his surprise it was a little enclove.
It was as if someone lowered a peefect circle of ground into the depths. The walls were covered in thick branchs and the stream dropped off into a pond in the indent in the ground.
Overtaken by wonder he jumped into the pond and regret filled him a second too late. He delved into the water and for a second his senses overwhelmed him. However like a fish in water he quickly figured out how to swim in his human body and made it too the shore quite easily. "Thank God that pond was deep enough"
The drop was only about 6-7 meters so the water was enough to mitgate any damage. The main problem facing him was getting back up. "Those vines look climbable enough" but before he could walk over to check the theory just behind him a massive roar came out of the water as what felt like a massive wave hit him on land sending him flying into a tree.
He quickly scrambled away from the water and ran into the forest that was much more well kept than the one on ground level. Kabel looked back and he saw a massive whale emerging from the pond spilling water everywhere.
The whale flew straight upward without even acknowledging his existence. It flew straight as an arrow up into the sky too the point where it seemed smaller than his palm and quickly turned to go horizontal torward the right.
As Kabel was staring amazed
he heard swearing as Miranda flew by chasing torwards the whale. "Fucking kid!" She tried her best too catch up too the whale but it was too late as she chased too no avail. The whale was faster and had a head start leading too a pitiful chase. Eventually she went back down and landed too where Kabel was still staring amazed.
"I've been hunting that beast for almost a month now! What the hell do you have to say for yourself!" Kabel didn't look offended or scared as he asked "you want to kill it?" Miranda by now had gotten used too the child she had seen him a few times and his growth in abilities was frankly abnormal but within reason if he knew how to do all of these things beforehand and just forgot due to his amnesia.
"Yes child, a beast like that does wonders for people who understand and twist the wind like me be it eating its meat or even observing it helps so you running in carelessly and running all of effort means you owe me. Alot." Kabel all of a sudden felt really bad and apologised.
"Well nothing we can do about it now I'll pop by your old man's house in the next week or so depends how long it takes me too find that wind whales tail again" Mirranda was getting angry just thinking about so she quickly flew off again.
Kabel had just gotten back on his feet and walked back over too the pond where the whale had come from. He stared into the water and it seemed to stare back at him. He felt quite thirsty by now and drank a big gulp of the water. It felt like the wind was flowing through him and cleaning his entire body.
He was curious about the cause and why the whale chose to nest there so he dived in. He didn't notice before but the water was remarkably easy to swim in. It was as if he was flying through the air with zero gravity.
He dived deeper and deeper as the water got darker and darker. Kabel had been surprised by it's depth two meters ago as he kept diving the pressure now starting too get too him. Eventually he got too the center and the very deepest part of the pond.
There in the darkness lay the wind itself. It looked like a orb of pure wind spinning so fast that it seemd solid. Despite its rotational power the water around it seemd still so Kabel tried to touch it and found it remarkably nice to touch. It had slight constant vibration that's quite pleasant.
He took the pearl above water and stared deep at it. Weirdly it looked tasty? Or felt tasty? Kabel was confused about why he felt this way. It was like his body or soul was telling him it was good to eat instead of his stomach.
He deicide to trust his gut and swallow the wind orb. All of a sudden he felt the orb lose it's shape as it no longer span safely in a perfect orb. The wind now completely unleashed inside his stomach and swept through his muscles and bones breaking them and grating his muscles away.
He would've screamed if he had any control of the muscles too as he spasmed on the shore. Soon his body was done being torn apart and the wind all of a sudden reversed following the same path but healing this time. However his body was not reverted to its previous state. No what was hurt now was being healed back stronger.
The wind tried to travel back to where the orb was in his stomach but as soon as it got less than a millimeter away it ran out of energy and faded. All of the wind met the same fate and faded away just before being able to go back into the orb. Soon his stomach acid dissolved the orb after there was no more wind energy and Kabel was left laying in the grass falling asleep instantly from the challenge.
