Chapter 75 - Garp Gets Completely Played by Reno

When Reno saw Garp carrying such a huge sack back, he did not need to ask to guess what was inside. What else could it be besides his money? When Garp said it was worth ten billion, Reno felt it matched his expectations. Judging by the size, it was probably not just Beli, but also a lot of treasure.

That did not matter to him. His system could convert everything into Beli anyway, so there was no need to worry.

Thinking this, Reno got up from the lounge chair and walked over. He reached out and touched the sack, and in the next instant, it disappeared completely.

Garp watched from the side. He was a little surprised, but not shocked. Zephyr had already told him about Reno's abilities, including how he could store items.

Ding. Received treasure worth 1.1 billion Beli. All treasure has been converted into Beli.

Current Beli: 4.78 billion.

Hearing this, Reno felt pleased. He had just spent one billion not long ago, and now he had earned back even more. Life was getting better and better.

After that, Reno looked at Garp with a smile. "Just enough for ten billion. Since the payment is done, I will tell you Dragon's information."

Hearing Reno directly say Monkey D. Dragon's name, Garp cursed inwardly. This brat said he did not remember earlier, yet now he spoke it so smoothly. It clearly was not forgotten. Maybe Dragon had also been one of his targets.

Garp's earlier guesses were mostly correct, but this time he was completely wrong. Reno was not targeting Dragon for bounty money. He spoke so naturally simply because they already knew each other.

Reno sat back down and continued, "A few days ago in Ohara, when I was fighting Bartholomew Kuma, I saw that guy appear there. He might have left already, but he should not have gone far."

Garp's face instantly darkened. He felt like he had been tricked.

If Dragon really went to Ohara, then he must be connected to the group that rescued it. Maybe he even led them. If it was for something else, he might stay nearby, but if it was for a rescue, then he would definitely flee as far as possible after succeeding.

So what use was this information?

Garp stared at Reno with a dark face. "That place is already a mess. Once that bastard knew what happened, he would have run far away. What use is your ten billion information?"

He did not directly ask what Dragon had done, but instead used this to probe Reno.

Reno lay back lazily and replied, "Old man Garp, understand this. I am selling information, not Dragon's location. Whether it is useful or not has nothing to do with me."

Garp was left speechless. He knew Reno was right, but still wanted to beat him.

Reno had originally just wanted to send Garp away and make some money. But now he realized something. What if Garp thought the information was useless and refused to go?

If Garp did not leave, how would he scout the treasury?

Thinking this, Reno smiled again. "What you said makes sense. Normally, he would leave immediately after something like that."

"But someone like him would not appear in the Four Seas without a reason. If his business is not done, he will not leave."

"Even if he left, he would not go far. If you go now, you might still catch him."

Reno spoke confidently, mixing truth with lies.

Garp listened with a dark expression. After Reno finished, he glared at him and said, "My money is not that easy to earn. If I go out and gain nothing, then when I come back, I will beat you until you cannot get up."

After saying that, Garp turned and walked out.

He did not fully believe Reno, but he still chose to go. Dragon had taken so many people from Ohara, so he could not have gone far.

On the sea, things were not simple. With so many people, food and fresh water had to be replenished often. That meant frequent stops, slowing everything down.

Because of this, Garp judged that Dragon was still nearby.

Reno watched him leave with a puzzled look. He clearly did not believe me, so why is he still going?

After thinking for a while without an answer, Reno stopped bothering. His goal had already been achieved.

He lay back down on the chair and closed his eyes. He needed to rest, since he still had things to do at night.

After leaving Reno, Garp did not go straight to sea. Instead, he went to find Sengoku.

He might not return for a while, and Reno was also a problem. Even if he could not mention Dragon, Reno still needed attention.

Reno was dangerous not only because of his ability, but also his intelligence. Either one alone was manageable, but together, they were a serious threat.

Thinking about how he had been led around all day, Garp still felt uneasy.

At Marine Headquarters, Sengoku's office.

Garp paused at the door, then pushed it open and walked in. Seeing Sengoku working, he said directly, "Sengoku, I am heading out to sea. Get someone else to watch that kid."

Sengoku looked up at him with a strange expression. This time, he did not kick the door open.

"That's rare. Did you take the wrong medicine today?"

Garp's face darkened. "What do you mean by that?"

Sengoku was not angry. Instead, he relaxed a little. Good, he is still yelling.

"I was joking. So why are you going out this time?"

Garp did not dwell on it and casually replied, "I heard the West Blue has been unstable. I am going to clean up some pirates."

What Garp did not know was that Sengoku and several Vice Admirals already suspected Dragon was in the Four Seas.

So his excuse was almost the same as revealing his real intention.
