Chapter 76 - Reno’s Intelligence Is Not Inferior to Mine?

When Garp said he was going to the West Blue, Sengoku immediately looked up at him. He thought to himself that no wonder this old guy had been acting distracted today, it turned out he was planning to go to the West Blue to chase Dragon.

Since even Garp had heard the news, then the guess that Dragon was in the West Blue was most likely correct. But what Sengoku couldn't figure out was how Garp got this information.

After all, he had never told him, and Garp had been watching Reno the whole time these past few days. Logically, he shouldn't have had any chance to learn about this.

Sengoku thought for a while, then suddenly his eyes lit up.

Could it be that kid Reno told him?

But that didn't make sense either. That kid had been staying in the guest area the entire time, and Garp hadn't left his side. He shouldn't have had any way to get that information either.

The more Sengoku thought about it, the more confused he became. In the end, he simply asked directly, "Garp, going to the West Blue… that's not your only purpose, is it?"

Hearing this, Garp's eyes almost popped out. His face was full of shock, but he quickly suppressed it and started thinking.

How did Sengoku know he had another purpose?

Could it be that Sengoku also knew Dragon appeared in the West Blue, and that's why he guessed his real intention?

Even though he thought this, Garp didn't admit it immediately. He was worried Sengoku was just testing him, so he quickly argued, "The pirates in the West Blue have been too rampant lately. I'm just going there to clean them up. What other purpose could I have?"

But Sengoku had already seen that flash of shock earlier, so he didn't believe him at all.

He thought that Garp must think he was bluffing, so he decided to stop beating around the bush and speak plainly.

"Garp, no need to hide it. I already know Dragon might be in the West Blue. So your real purpose this time is to find him, right?"

Hearing this, Garp's eyes widened again. This time, he didn't bother pretending anymore and asked directly, "So you already knew Dragon was in the West Blue. But where did you get that information?"

At this moment, Garp couldn't help but curse inwardly. Could it be that that little brat had already sold the information to Sengoku before selling it to him?

But this time, it really had nothing to do with Reno.

Sengoku shook his head and said, "My information came from several Vice Admirals who were carrying out missions in the West Blue. What about you? Where did your information come from?"

Hearing that Sengoku hadn't bought it from Reno, Garp finally felt a little better.

But when he thought about the ten billion Belly he spent, he still felt extremely irritated. If he had just come to Sengoku more often these past few days, he wouldn't have wasted that money.

Garp might hide things from Sengoku, but Sengoku would never hide information from him. One acted for personal reasons, the other for official duty.

Because of that, Garp felt even more annoyed about wasting that money.

He cursed Reno a few more times in his heart before saying, "That little brat Reno deliberately revealed it to me. His goal was probably to lure me out to sea to chase Dragon, so he could gain his freedom."

"That brat's schemes are really well calculated."

Garp didn't mention anything about the money. After all, being played around by a seven-year-old was not something he could afford to let others know.

Sengoku nodded thoughtfully.

As expected, it was that kid who told him. But what he still didn't understand was how Reno knew this information.

So he asked, "That kid has been staying in the guest area and never left. Where did his information come from?"

Garp didn't hide anything and replied directly, "When he fought Kuma, it was on Ohara. He probably saw Dragon there."

Hearing this, Sengoku nodded.

If Reno had been sent flying from Ohara by Kuma, then it made sense that he had seen Dragon. That would make the information reliable.

At this point, Sengoku was almost certain that Dragon had indeed appeared in the West Blue.

Seeing that the matter was clear, Garp brought the topic back. "Then I'll leave that brat to you. I'm heading out to sea to deal with the pirates in the West Blue."

Sengoku knew he couldn't stop him, so he simply agreed. "You can go. But if anything happens, report to me immediately."

Garp waved his hand impatiently. "Yeah, yeah… I'll report if something happens."

Seeing his careless attitude, Sengoku's blood pressure shot up again. He shouted angrily, "Get out of here, Garp!"

Garp didn't care at all. As he walked out, he added, "That brat's ability is very dangerous. And his brain… it's not inferior to you, the so-called 'Strategist'."

"You'd better send someone reliable to watch him. Someone with both strength and brains. Otherwise, they won't even know how they died."

By the time he finished speaking, he had already disappeared.

Sengoku was left standing there, slightly stunned.

He never expected Garp to rate Reno so highly.

After all, the title of "Strategist" wasn't given lightly. It was earned through countless battles on the sea.

Just like Garp's title of "Hero," both were reputations built through real combat, acknowledged by powerful figures across the seas.

For Garp, his "Iron Fist" title came from his overwhelming Armament Haki.

For Sengoku, his "Strategist" title came from his command and tactics in countless battles.

And now, Garp was saying that a seven-year-old child's intelligence was not inferior to his.

How could that not shock him?

After a long time, Sengoku finally came back to his senses.

"Garp's judgment has never been wrong… it seems I underestimated that kid."

Looking at the darkening sky outside, and thinking that Kuzan wouldn't return until tomorrow, Sengoku made a decision.

Since Garp said that kid was dangerous, he couldn't ignore it.

There weren't many strong people left at Headquarters right now. Sending a Vice Admiral didn't feel reliable, and above that level, only he and Fleet Admiral Kong were available.

There was no way he could send Kong.

So tonight, he would personally keep watch.

Time passed quickly, and before long, it was midnight.

Reno's small house was still brightly lit.

He had no idea that Sengoku was now watching him. His plan remained unchanged. Once the time came, he would go out.

Lying on the chair with his eyes closed, Reno waited quietly.

After an unknown amount of time, he suddenly opened his eyes and stood up.

Looking at the night sky, he thought to himself:

"I already located several vaults with Observation Haki today. Tonight, I'll go set spatial coordinates."

"Once the check-in task is done, I'll empty them and leave."

"What a perfect plan."

But what he didn't know was although Garp had been lured away, another Admiral-level figure had already set his sights on him.

Whether Reno's plan would succeed… remained to be seen.
