I was shocked did I really walk in the middle of the road . I couldn't remember a single thing that happened that day. I only remembered that I was in a hurry to go to classes that day when I suddenly had that accident.
I told my family members that I couldn't remember a thing, so they didn't ask any further questions. I asked when I could return to school my parents said in a month's time.
I was a little bit disappointed, even though I wasn't a fun of school I still didn't want to miss it, at least a month will come and pass by very soon.
My dad and brother left a little while after we talked for a bit they had an important business to attend to, my mom and sis stayed by my side for the rest of the day before they also left but promised to return the following the day.
That night I couldn't sleep so I walked around the hospital's garden for a bit. I sat on a bench near a tree and stared at the stars wondering if anyone I knew missed me or even bothered to visit. I didn't get my hopes up because I knew that getting your hopes up too much will end in getting hurt very badly.
After some time I was heading back to my room when I saw a girl about my age crying in a corner . I went closer to her and asked her what was going on. She told me that her name was called Amber and she had been admitted a few days ago after she fainted one day .
She was crying because the doctor told her she had at most a year to live.She told me she had been sick for a while but she thought it was not that serious even though her parents had always wanted her to come for a check up she refused because she didn't come from a well to do family so she didn't want to waste money .
After she finished talking I also told her about the reason why I was in the hospital.I encouraged her to spend the rest of the time she had with the people she loved . We talked for a while before I sent her to her room then I also went to mine.
I wasn't able to sleep at first but after sometime I finally fell asleep
