Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Parting and Doubt

Zack's thrusts became faster, harder, each one hitting that perfect spot inside Anna. He felt her inner muscles clench around him and knew she was close. "That's right," he whispered, his voice strained with effort. "Come for me." He reached between their bodies, his thumb finding her clit and circling it firmly. "Let go, Anna. Let me feel you come apart around my cock." His words were so seductive, and it wasn't long until Anna's inner walls tightened, and she covered her mouth with her hand, to keep her cry from drawing the attention of her family. Zack's hips slammed into hers one last time as he reached his own peak, burying himself deep inside her as he came with a low groan. He stayed inside her for a moment, his body shuddering with the aftershocks of his orgasm. Then he slowly pulled out, pressing a quick kiss to her lips. "Now I can go," he said with a satisfied grin. He quickly got dressed, pulling on his still-damp clothes.

It took Anna a moment to stop shaking from her orgasm. When she finally did, she pulled her jean shorts up and before Zack could leave her room, she grabbed his arm, making him turn towards her. Then she went up onto her tiptoes and kissed him lightly on the lips. Zack's eyes widened slightly in surprise at her kiss, but he quickly recovered, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her flush against him. He deepened the kiss, his tongue sweeping into her mouth with a possessive hunger. "Mmm," he murmured against her lips when he finally broke the kiss. "If you keep doing that, I might just have to stay." He rested his forehead against hers, his breath warm on her skin. "But I should go, before your brother comes up here and finds me still in your room." he pressed one last quick kiss to her lips before stepping back. "Wait for me after school," he commanded. "Tomorrow, we are going to my place." without waiting for a response, he turned and slipped out of Anna's room, closing the door quietly behind him. She could hear his footsteps descending the stairs before the front door opened and closed.

As Anna stood near her bedroom door, her unbuttoned jeans around her waist, she felt his release dripping out of her. The feeling left her both satisfied and scared. She sighed and went into the bathroom, where she took out a morning-after pill and swallowed it. She then undressed and got into the shower. As the hot water cascaded down her body, her mind raced with a mix of excitement and apprehension. She remembered the feeling of Zack's hands on her body, his lips against hers... But the reality of what happened began to sink in. She was now officially involved with the boy who had bullied her for years. The same boy who had just hours ago declared his possessiveness over her.

As she got out of the shower and put on her silk night gown, she remembered when they were children, she would see him sitting in his backyard. She would climb onto the roof, something she wasn't actually allowed to do, just to watch him. It wasn't as if he was particularly interesting back then; He mostly sat with his feet in the pool or in his old tree house reading comics. Even now, she doesn't understand why she did that. When Zack started leaving the house and going to the park, she would follow him, watching him from a distance, like a creepy little stalker. Though normally it's socially acceptable for little girls to be so curious. When Zack started fighting with other kids, Anna thought he was brave and fierce. She had this weird fantasy of him being her knight in shining armor. That was until the day she helped him. She always figured that day ruined everything. If she had just left him to get beat up... Anna laughs at herself, what a silly though? How anti-feminist of her. Not that the rest of her life choices have been any better.

By the time puberty came around, there were a number of boys lining up to get a taste of Anna. And it was true that Zack and his constant bullying had kept some of them away, but not all. The smart ones, waited until Zack wasn't around so they could flirt with Anna. Some bought her nice things, offered to take her to concerts and events, some even offered to do her homework for her — not that she needed that sort of thing. But somehow, all of them had fallen short in comparison to Zack. Not the delinquent behavior and bullying, but the way he was so big and strong. Muscles definitely seemed to be her type. No one had matched up with that, until last summer... When she had gone to this botany camp out in the countryside. There she met a muscular, strong and smart boy, who had swept her off her feet. He said all the right things, constantly calling her beautiful and smart. He was caring and sweet. He helped her carry equipment and set up her tent the one time they went camping. So, of course, she gave him her virginity without a second thought. But after three weeks and several sexual encounters, the boy grew distant and rude. He ignored her and left her unsatisfied. When Anna had gotten up the courage to ask if he loved her, he laughed in her face, revealing his true colors. He had told her everything she wanted to hear and put up the act of a perfect gentleman just to get in her pants. "Love you? You are so naive. Why would I date a nerdy little freak like you when I could take turns with the cheerleaders?" Those words were etched into her memory, along with the pain and self-doubt they caused. She wanted to believe that Zack was different, that the fact that he wasn't pretending to be nice, meant she could trust him, but what if she couldn't? Anna sighed, frustrated and fell onto her bed and looked up at her ceiling.
