The next morning when Zack walked into the school building, he saw Anna standing by her locker. His eyes locked onto her the moment he stepped through the school doors. A smug grin spread across his face as he sauntered over, completely ignoring the other students who parted away from him. Anna was wearing jeans and a buttoned-up black shirt that made a v-shape along her cleavage. Her brown hair hung loosely around her shoulders. She was focused on something inside her locker, probably gathering the right books for the day. Zack came to a stop in front of her locker, leaning against it causally. "Morning, brat," he said, his voice low and husky. He was wearing loose jeans, a dark blue shirt with a picture of some band on it and his black leather jacket. As he leaned against the locker, his shirt rose up slightly, revealing his own V-line. "Did you miss me?" he asked and without waiting for a response, he reached out and pulled her into a kiss, right there in the crowded hallway. It was quick but firm, a clear statement to everyone watching that she was his. He pulled back just enough to look at her, his eyes dark with desire. Anna nodded shyly and bit her lower lip. "Ready for today?" he asked. "Because I have been thinking about getting you alone all night."
His hand slid down to rest possessively on her hip. "My place after school," he reminded her. "Don't be late." "Uh... Yeah. I'll meet you in the parking lot," she said shyly. Anna was keenly aware of everyone staring at them. Then her eyes landed on Zack's best friend, Evan. Evan was on the football team, but he was by no means popular. He was as much a delinquent as Zack. His father had just forced him to play football. Evan had light brown hair, a chiseled jaw and was tall and muscular. Not as muscular as Zack but close enough. When Anna saw Evan, she quickly looked away, turning to her locker to take out a school book. Zack followed her gaze to where Evan was standing, a look of amusement on his face. "Don't worry about him," he said, squeezing her hip reassuringly. "He is just jealous." 'You have no idea' Anna thought as she shoved the book she didn't really need in her backpack. Zack leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear. "Let them stare. Let them all know that you are mine now." His hand moved from her hip to her ass, giving it a quick squeeze before he pulled away. "See you later," he said with a wink, before turning and swaggering down the hall. As he walked away, Anna could feel the eyes of everyone around her. Whispers followed in his wake, but for once, they were not about him being a troublemaker. They were about her, and the fact that Zack kissed her in public. As he walked away, Anna felt a pang of disappointment at the short interaction.
Anna looked back at Evan as she swung the backpack over her shoulder. He looked at her with a facial expression that to everyone else would look like amusement, but she knew that face all to well. He was mad and Evan was the type that caused trouble when he was mad. Anna scurried off to her class. As she briskly walked down the hall she started thinking, 'what would Evan do? Would she tell Zack?' she shook her head as she took a seat in her first class. There was nothing she could do about that. Whatever Evan was or wasn't going to do was out of her control and she certainly was not going to beg him to not do something. She knew what a slippery slope that could be. His thoughts trailed back to Zack, his lips on her in the hallway. 'This really is different. He actually likes me.' she thought to herself, with a soft smile on her lips.
The rest of the day, Anna glanced at Zack from a distance. Each time, Zack would flash her a smug grin, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Whenever their eyes met, she blushed and looked away shyly and Zack seemed to enjoy this shy side of her, finding it amusing and endearing. During lunch, he made a point of sitting near her in the cafeteria, even though his usual spot was on the other side of the room with his friends. Even stare at the across the cafeteria, an unreadable expression on his face. Zack would lean back in his chair, stretching his legs out and occasionally catching Anna's eye from across the table. The rest of the day was like torture for both of them. As the final bell rang, Zack was waiting for her by her locker. He leaned against it casually, a predatory smile on his face. "Ready to go?" he asked as she approached. "I'm dying to get you alone." He grabbed her hand, lacing his fingers through hers without asking. "Come on," he said, pulling her towards the parking lot. "My dad won't be home for hours." Anna followed him willingly. Students watched as they walked down the hall and out of the school building. In the parking lot there were even more people. Anna just tightened her grip on Zack's hand. Outside the football field, next to the parking lot was a group of football players, including Evan. He turned his attention away from one of the cheerleaders to watch me and Zack walking, hand in hand, to Zack's motorcycle. When they reached his motorcycle, he finally let go of her hand to grab a spare helmet from the back. "Here," he said, handing it to her. Anna looked at the black motorcycle helmet with flames around the edges. Then she looked at his motorcycle. She didn't know anything about motorcycles, but it sure was attractive and added to his bad boy charm. "Put it on," Zack said as he put his own helmet over his head. He swung his leg over the bike and settled into the seat, patting the space behind him. "Get on," he commanded. As she climbed on, he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her tightly against his back. "Hold on tight," he murmured, before starting the engine with a loud roar.
