Chapter 93 - Chapter 93

But saying any of that now was meaningless. No matter how angry he was, the man knew that without his own sales channel, only the person on the other end could move the stolen goods for him.

"Fine. Fifty percent. But I want it sold before dawn."

He spoke through clenched teeth.

"Good."

With only that calm reply, the man on the other end hung up.

"That damned bloodsucker really has some nerve."

"Fifty percent? Why doesn't he choke on it?"

At that moment, the core members of the Skull Gang in the room all erupted in shared outrage after hearing their boss's words.

"Enough. At least now we know this thing is even more valuable than we thought."

"Otherwise, that bloodsucker wouldn't be willing to work with us."

After lighting a cigarette, the man only answered them calmly.

"This thing is really worth that much? It just looks like a tiny little drink bottle."

After hearing even the boss say so, one of the underlings stepped closer, picked up the vial containing the T-Virus drug, held it up to his eyes, and looked at it curiously.

"Be careful. If you break it, even selling you wouldn't be enough to cover it."

After taking the vial back from his subordinate, Fisher glared at him and carefully placed it back into the low-temperature portable freezer case.

"Heh, my bad, boss."

Hearing that, the subordinate shrank his neck and apologized.

Because he knew that when other people said things like that, they might be joking.

But he had personally seen their boss sell a subordinate's organs piece by piece after the man caused an incident that led to major losses for the gang.

A few minutes after Fisher packed the drug away, he received a message from the black market broker.

"Harbor Bay Islands. One hour. Five million deposit. Two hundred million total."

"Damn, boss, that bloodsucker really does have some pull."

One of the underlings saw the message on Fisher's phone and spoke excitedly.

A second message popped up right after that. It was a Swiss bank notification confirming that five million had already arrived.

"Very good. Once we finish this deal, we'll be set for life."

When Fisher saw the transfer, his whole mood lightened. Sure, half of it would be taken, but even the remaining one hundred million dollars was enough for all of them to live extravagantly for the rest of their lives.

After all, prices in this era were nowhere near as high as they would be in the future. At this point, two hundred thousand dollars could still buy an apartment in downtown New York.

Elsewhere, with just a few hundred thousand dollars, you could easily buy luxury cars and a villa.

That meant their good days were not far away.

For a while, everyone in the room was swept up in the joy of the fortune they were about to get.

Even their hatred toward that bloodsucker faded a lot. Some of them were even starting to find him kind of likable.

"Alright. Pack up, bring your gear, and get ready to move."

After calming himself again, Fisher gave the order to his men.

Then, amid their responses, three pickup trucks pulled out from the abandoned cabin.

...

Meanwhile...

"Baymax, have you found where those people are yet?"

Inside the moving convoy, Killian sat in the armored bulletproof vehicle and asked through his earpiece.

"There are too few nearby surveillance cameras. No clear video trace has been found."

"Sir, I have located Skull Gang leader Iron Red Fisher's phone. According to current data, he is traveling from the Gambon Mountains toward the Harbor Bay Islands."

"In addition, they have already found a buyer. Their destination is for the sale of the T-0 serum."

After hearing Killian's question, Baymax immediately reported the results of the investigation through the earpiece.

"Interesting. They know it's mine, and someone still wants to buy it."

"No rush. Drive faster. I'm already looking forward to seeing who that person is."

After hearing Baymax's report, Killian smiled.

But anyone could tell at a glance that it was the smile of someone furious.

At Killian's order, the whole convoy increased speed again.

And at this moment, as if she could sense Killian's emotions through the smart glasses, Subject No. 3, the female test subject in the cargo compartment, seemed unusually excited and kept letting out eerie little laughs from time to time.

Subject No. 1, on the other hand, was completely confused.

He could sense the boss's anger, but what was there to be angry about inside such a nice black box? It felt pretty good, didn't it?

It even shook every now and then, like a massage.

Because of the increased speed, the vehicle was bouncing heavily now, and inside the already weighty compartment carrying the three subjects, the shaking was naturally much more violent.

Only a fool like Subject No. 1 would think it felt like a massage.

...

Elsewhere...

As time passed, Fisher and his men arrived at Harbor Bay.

At that moment, aside from a few scattered streetlights still stubbornly doing their job and providing a faint bit of light to the already remote place, the entire harbor felt especially deserted and sinister.

"Boss, it's almost been an hour. That bastard didn't scam us, did he? I just took a walk around with some guys. There isn't a single person in this dump."

After wandering around with an AK, one of the underlings returned to Fisher's side and complained.

They were all counting on getting rich from this deal, but now the time was almost up and the buyer still had not shown any sign of appearing.

"Don't rush. Wait a little longer."

"Take a few men and get up on those shipping containers. Wait for my signal, just in case."

After hearing his subordinate's complaint, Fisher, who was sitting on a broken chair, carefully surveyed the surroundings before speaking.

"Heh, don't worry, boss. I get it."

The subordinate carrying the AK gave a knowing grin. After that, he took two others and climbed up onto the abandoned containers.

That left Fisher and his remaining five men on the ground, waiting patiently for the buyer to arrive.

"Boss, someone's coming!"

Not long after, the sound of speedboats came from the distance, and Fisher's men all craned their heads to look.

"Get your weapons ready. If anything happens, don't hesitate."

After hearing his men, Fisher stood up too. Once he saw the yacht approaching them, he immediately warned his people in a low voice.

After getting the order, the men all pulled back their bolts and went on alert.

Before long, a group of masked men wearing brand-new combat uniforms and carrying elite weapons got off the boat and walked over.

As soon as they saw Fisher, the leader's men spread out and faced Fisher's group in a guarded formation.

"Where's the item?"

The leading man looked at Fisher and asked in a low voice.

"Here. Where's the money?"

"I want to see the money first. Then I'll hand it over. Trust me, it's just a tiny little bottle. Even a slight collision could damage what's inside."

After giving the heavily armed escorts a wary glance, Fisher answered with a warning in his tone.

Originally, he had been considering whether to pull a double-cross.

But now, it looked like he would be lucky if he was not the one getting robbed instead.

He had already spotted SAR-21 automatic rifles from Singapore and FN FAL automatic rifles from Belgium.

All of them were top-tier weapons for the current era.

Not to mention the rest of their gear.

Even Fisher could not quite get a read on the situation anymore.

So he could only pray that these buyers still had some professional integrity.

At the same time, he was glad he had made earlier arrangements.

"It's already been transferred."

After hearing Fisher's demand, the man said nothing more. He sent the payment message right in front of him. Soon after, once he got back a reply from the other side confirming it was done, he spoke.

Fisher was just about to demand why his money had not arrived when a transfer notification for ninety-five million dollars from the black market broker appeared on his phone.

Once he saw the transfer message, Fisher finally relaxed and smiled. He then signaled one of his men to hand over the metal case containing the serum.

But just as the exchange was about to happen, the roar of engines came from outside.

Pioneer Technology's convoy had arrived at the harbor entrance.

"Did you bring them here?"

After hearing the approaching vehicles, the masked buyer immediately looked at Fisher with fury.

"I didn't. I was about to ask if they were yours."

Still stunned, Fisher snapped right back after recovering.

"This place isn't safe anymore. Move."

After glancing at Fisher and deciding he did not seem to be faking it, the masked man immediately ordered his people to take the case and prepare to leave.

"Move!"

After hearing that, Fisher gave the order too after staring deeply at the departing group.

At this point, if they were not the buyers' people, then there was only one possibility left.

The police had tracked them here.

He did not know why they were not using sirens, but that no longer mattered.

"Boss, should we take them out?"

One of the masked man's squad leaders stepped up and asked.

"Leave them. They can help slow down the police for us. I don't want any more surprises."

The masked man only threw out that cold reply and quickened his pace.

For some reason, he felt more and more that something about this whole thing was wrong.

But from Killian's point of view, standing at the harbor entrance and watching everything through an aerial drone, the entire situation was already under control.

Behind him stood three squads, nearly twenty fully armed Blackwatch soldiers, along with the improved combat model of Baymax equipped with assault rifles, a unit Killian had named the T-700.

After removing the soft, cute resin-filled outer shell, what remained was the internal metal framework. Its entire body was now wrapped in black steel, like a Terminator, with only the red scanner-eyes visible in the darkness of the night.

That was exactly why Killian called them T-700s.

Under normal circumstances, they would have been the center of attention.

But tonight, compared to the constant noise coming from the huge cargo compartment behind Killian, even they seemed overshadowed.

Then, at Killian's signal, the compartment doors opened.

The three test subjects burst out at once.

As the most violent by nature, Subject No. 1, after feeling that he was finally free, immediately began scanning the surroundings with his terrifying blood-red eyes.

But what surprised him was that the current environment was completely different from the place where he had entered the box earlier.

"Could it be... if you go into this metal box, it changes locations?"

The sudden change of scenery filled his already limited mind with confusion.

Still, after looking around at the surroundings and then back at the metal box behind him, Subject No. 1 let out a massive roar, thrilled by the conclusion he had reached.

The moment Subject No. 1 howled to the sky, the sound spread through the entire harbor.

The shockwave it created even pressed the grass nearby flat by half its height.

Larger mammals in the area still had the strength to flee, but anything small, like stray cats, was knocked unconscious on the spot.

Even Samuel, standing near Killian, almost got blown away before a Blackwatch soldier caught him.

"What the hell are you roaring for?!"

After hearing the enormous roar behind him, Killian himself was startled. He turned around and sent the question through the signal link at the giant fool.

"Roar roar roar!! (I don't know what I'm roaring about either!!)"

To outside observers, after Killian spoke, it just looked like Subject No. 1 roared back at him.

Even the Blackwatch soldiers nearby instinctively raised their rifles and aimed at him.

But for Killian, the meaning inside Subject No. 1's roar was perfectly clear through the smart glasses.

And precisely because he understood it, he could only feel speechless.

Meanwhile, at the harbor itself, both groups also heard the roar.

It was so terrifying that their legs almost gave out on the spot.

"What... what kind of monster is that?"

One of Fisher's men was so badly frightened by the howl that he started trembling and spoke through gritted teeth.

He had lived his whole life and had never heard anything like that terrifying beast-like roar.

Not even in horror movies.
