Chapter 94 - Chapter 94

"Why are you screaming?!"

"You've killed over a dozen people already, and you're scared of a roar like that?!"

Hearing one of his men embarrass himself at a moment like this, Fisher immediately shouted at him.

Though it was hard to tell whether he was yelling at his subordinate or just trying to steady his own nerves.

"B-But..."

"Shut up!"

Just as the man tried to keep explaining, Fisher cut him off with another roar.

"Something's wrong here. We're going to the docks. Make them take us with them."

After quickly scanning the surroundings and confirming that the people outside had not entered yet, Fisher's expression shifted and he gave the order.

"Huh?! But... will they take us?"

The underlings were first stunned, then blurted out their doubts.

After all, judging from the buyers' presence alone, if a fight really broke out, it was hard to say who would end up killing who.

In their eyes, those people were either professional soldiers or at least seasoned mercenaries. Against local gang punks like them, it would be like using anti-aircraft guns to kill mosquitoes.

"Idiots. Use your pathetic little brains for once. Are those things in your hands just for decoration?"

Hearing their hesitation, Fisher snapped in frustration.

Under normal circumstances, he would have already smashed one of them across the face with his gun stock.

But the situation was different now. He needed the whole group united against the outside threat.

Under Fisher's words and his usual authority, the men finally picked up their weapons and moved toward the masked buyers waiting at the dock.

The moment the buyers saw Fisher's group approaching, they instinctively raised their guns as well. In an instant, the atmosphere became razor-sharp, like a single wrong word would set off a firefight.

But before either side could even begin negotiating, the pounding tremors from the ground reached them.

Then they saw the most terrifying sight of their lives.

A gigantic pale giant, several meters tall, was charging toward them with huge strides, wearing a twisted, vicious grin.

Beside it, an even more horrifying female creature, smaller in size, crawled toward them like a madwoman, laughing with a ghastly cackle and clawing her way forward with hands full of razor-like talons.

The only one that looked remotely normal was the last giant, wearing a trench coat and moving forward with a calm, steady air.

But even then, his pace was no slower than the others.

"What the hell is that monster?!"

For a brief second, everyone's brains froze.

Then the moment they came back to themselves, all of them began frantically pulling their triggers at Subject No. 3, who was charging at the front.

In a scene this horrific, facing something so inhuman, only the guns in their hands gave them even the slightest sense of safety.

But this time, even with more than a dozen guns opening fire at once, not a single shot touched Subject No. 3.

With her unbelievable speed and agility, she moved like a spider.

Slash!

The moment Subject No. 3 drove her claws into the body of one of the outermost gang members, blood sprayed everywhere.

And when that blood splattered across her body, combined with her grotesque, horrifying appearance, the fear in everyone present instantly reached its peak.

"Run!!!"

No one knew who shouted first, but in the next second, the Skull Gang members all began scrambling and crawling in every direction.

Some even jumped straight into the sea, hoping to escape this nightmare.

But before one of them could swim very far, the water in front of him suddenly darkened as a huge shadow loomed overhead.

Then he saw the most terrifying thing of his life.

A giant with one blue eye and one red eye was looking at him curiously. Then, after lifting him effortlessly, it tore open his skull with sharp nails before he could even scream.

Even in his final moments, he saw the creature holding his head in front of itself and examining it carefully, like some deranged scientist.

To the man, though, it was far worse.

It was a monster as terrifying as a demon.

And when the others saw that, they wished their parents had given them a few extra legs, because they all started running in absolute hysteria.

If they had all stayed together instead of scattering in every direction, they might actually have had a chance.

But against these extraordinary Tyrant test subjects, splitting up only made things easier.

At this moment, Killian watched the buyers trying to escape on their speedboat amid the chaos, and the corners of his mouth curled under the smart glasses.

Then, with a light tap against his forehead, Subject No. 2 elegantly tossed aside the gang member in his hand toward a distant shipping container.

After that, he grinned, lowered his body, and then with a sudden burst from his legs, shot through the air like a precisely guided missile toward the speedboat.

The buyers had only just turned around and seen that horrifying sight, already convinced death had arrived, when they realized the creature had come to a perfect stop just in front of the bow.

The whole motion was so smooth it was as if someone had pressed pause.

But that was not even the most horrifying part.

The worst part was that when they instinctively tried to squeeze their triggers, they discovered their bodies no longer obeyed them.

They were like paralyzed corpses.

Only their eyes could still move wildly, desperately trying to confirm whether they had really lost all control of their bodies.

It made no difference.

Under Killian's remote command, Subject No. 2 opened his left hand, and the cryogenic case in the lead masked man's grip immediately floated across the air into Subject No. 2's palm.

Then, with a slight clench of his hand, he sent the frozen case flying back toward the Blackwatch squad already waiting at the dock, where they caught it cleanly.

Once Killian saw that the goods had been recovered, he lost interest in micromanaging the rest.

He released control and let his "treasures" do as they pleased.

The moment Killian's will stopped overriding him, Subject No. 2's lips curled into a strange smile.

To the masked men facing him directly, that smile was even more terrifying.

A giant floating in the air.

A monster with terrifying power.

And that insane female creature.

The whole thing felt like they had stumbled into an alien nest.

At this point, the masked leader only regretted coming here at all for these goods and throwing his life away in the process.

But Subject No. 2 seemed to take a special interest in him, or perhaps simply wanted to torment him.

The moment he turned the masked man's body toward his own subordinates, the man lost control of both his bladder and bowels.

Because what he saw was pure horror.

His men, one after another, began collapsing inward under some invisible crushing force until each was compressed into a giant lump of flesh.

Another subordinate was twisted and kneaded by an unseen power.

And what terrified the masked man most was that the creature seemed intent on observing them. Every time it attacked one of them, it pulled the victim close and spent time tormenting them before pausing with a thoughtful look.

It was exactly like a demon that had escaped from hell.

More than ten minutes later, the masked man was so terrified that he had gone completely mindless.

And when Subject No. 2 looked at him again, even the creature seemed disgusted.

The man was covered in his own waste, and drool was leaking from his mouth after being frightened into unconsciousness.

Seeing him like that, Subject No. 2 lost all interest.

With a final invisible crush, he compressed the man down to the limit, then abandoned him and floated back the way he had come.

Meanwhile, Subject No. 3 had reached her final toy.

Curled in a corner, too terrified to move, Fisher had heard the screaming around him go silent and thought the monsters were gone.

At that very moment, crying suddenly sounded right next to his ear.

His entire body stiffened.

Then he turned his head instinctively.

What he saw was the blood-soaked female monster with long hair and a twisted expression, covering her eyes with claws smeared in flesh and blood, crying while peeking at him through the gaps between her fingers with scarlet eyes.

Their faces were nearly touching.

"AHHH!!!"

At that instant, Fisher let out the most desperate scream of his life, and in his extreme terror, his pants went warm as he wet himself.

Hearing her prey scream, Subject No. 3 finally seemed satisfied and let out a delighted giggle.

Then, under Fisher's shrieking cries, she sliced open his chest with one arm full of claws. His ribs broke at the slightest touch, and right in front of Fisher's horrified, nearly fainting eyes, she reached in and pulled out his heart.

Blood poured nonstop from his chest.

And Subject No. 3, faced with such a delicious meal, began eating with great satisfaction.

For creatures like them, who had always lived as bio-weapons, life in the lab had meant little more than surviving on nutrient fluid every day. How could that compare to following a good boss and getting a feast like this?

While Subject No. 3 leisurely enjoyed her meal, Subject No. 1 was behaving like a starving beast.

Every living or dead thing on the battlefield got shoved straight into his huge mouth. He did not even bother chewing before swallowing it whole.

He was like a garbage disposal machine, built to clean the battlefield.

By the time he was done, nothing remained on the dock except blood staining the ground.

At that point, Subject No. 1 stood there with a huge grin, his scarlet eyes still roaming everywhere as if searching for any prey he might have missed.

Eventually he saw Subject No. 3 in the corner, already finished with Fisher's heart.

And at that moment, Subject No. 1's grin widened even further.

Because Subject No. 3 only liked eating hearts, which meant that now the rest of the body had been left untouched.

After pointing at her and then at the corpse at her feet, Subject No. 3 simply turned her head away and walked off on her own.

She had no interest in eating that kind of low-quality leftover.

Seeing her leave, Subject No. 1 immediately beamed with delight and grabbed the corpse, stuffing it into his mouth without hesitation.

In no time at all, Subject No. 1 had cleaned up the entire scene.

Then the test subjects all gathered back toward Killian.

"Boss, I really do not want to say this, but no matter how much confidence I have in my product, basic safety testing is still absolutely necessary. What you did today was far too risky. Can I sincerely ask that there never be a next time?"

Now that the scene was finally under control, Samuel at last let out the breath he had been holding and immediately began trying to persuade Killian with lingering fear.

"Hahaha, I promise, absolutely no next time. But I have to admit, these smart glasses really are useful."

"Who was responsible for developing them?"

After hearing Samuel's warning, Killian only smiled and changed the subject after having tested them personally.

"It was Dr. Otto, the new one you recruited, boss. While researching the integration of black technology and smartphones, he came up with this multifunction smart glasses platform."

"And after I realized it could be used as a portable control interface for the smart chips, I improved and optimized it into the model you're using now."

"But there are still a lot of unknown risks. In theory, the glasses only transmit signals through brainwaves, but we still don't know whether that transmission process might cause other side effects."

"Especially in cases like what just happened. There are too many uncontrollable variables, boss."

Seeing Killian try to steer the subject elsewhere, Samuel still answered properly, then immediately dragged the conversation back and kept earnestly trying to dissuade him.

"Alright, alright. But in that case, Dr. Otto really is talented. What do you think of him?"

Killian ignored the rest and asked his own question.

"This... he's a top-tier talent in advanced technology. I've seen his research topics and the projects he's working on now. His work on phone batteries is excellent, and he has a lot of innovative ideas. If he specialized in energy technology, I honestly think he could be just as good as I am."

This time, after seriously thinking it over, Samuel answered.
