"A brothel, Phillip? That is no place for women!" Then she immediately covered her mouth when she realized that the footman behind them may have overheard them.
"From my experience, women are more frequent customers than men in the brothels that I speak of."
She shuddered at the images that came to mind.
"I cannot accept such an invitation. Only heaven knows what I would see there."
He held her hand and forced her to stop. "There is no need to be afraid. As a grand patron, I would request a private room for our business and arrange things in such a way that no one has to see your face or know who you are. All you are there for is the thrill of attraction, nothing else."
She paused to consider his words. Her heart was hammering in her chest.
"When do you intend to take me there?"
