Chapter 1 - Enter U.A High!

Kabuto sidestepped, twisting his hips to rotate himself and launched a kick at the head of the man in front of him.

The man ducked, landing on one knee and launching himself at Kabuto attempting a low takedown. Kabuto whose leg was still in the air didn't have the time to react.

The man lifted him from off his feet and brought him crashing down to the concrete floor.

"Poor." A mechanical voice said from behind, the sound of a pen clicking onto a clipboard echoing through the empty facility.

"Your efforts were below poor, I shouldn't see such a performance again." The clicking noise continued incessantly.

Kabuto who was on the ground with bruises on his young face held his head in pain, the clicking didn't stop, and the man in the lab coat's words started to slur and stutter.

His head felt like it would pop at any moment, his eyes slowly turned to the back of his head, and his body fainted.

---

Ring! Ring!

Kabuto hurled himself up, his body was filled with sweat pouring out like a waterfall.

"Fuck!" He cursed, his voice tired and frustrated. Kabuto forced himself off the bed and walked towards the bathroom.

He was currently in a small apartment. Roughly a hundred sq feet. A small bathroom was the only thing in the apartment apart from his bed and a couple of electric kitchen appliances.

Kabuto opened his phone and looked at the date and time. "It's today." He muttered while brushing his teeth.

'UA High, I hope you live up to your expectations.' He quickly changed into his uniform and went outside, making sure to wear a pair of black latex gloves.

Kabuto had taken the entrance exams and had passed fairly easily, 'Wasn't that hard.' He shrugged.

Kabuto walked through the city, his eyes glancing towards the couple of people he would see occasionally.

Mr Son was in his garden, he had a mutation quirk, as apparent by his head which was in fact a shark's head. "How are ya, kid?" The man said noticing Kabuto.

Kabuto gave him a small smile and exchanged pleasantries.

His eyes darted to Kimiko, a little girl who would always be out at this time with her mother. She ran towards him when she noticed him.

He patted her on the head as she quickly rammed on about how some kid in kindergarten had unlocked his quirk.

"Congratulations on getting into UA." Mrs Kanto said standing beside Kimiko.

"Thank you, though it's nothing big." Kabuto got up from Kimiko's level.

"No need to be humble, it's the best school in the whole country." Mrs Kanto praised.

Kabuto could only slightly smile at the praise. His eyes darted to the time on his watch, "I have to get going now Kimi, and tell Kubiki that if he annoys you again, then I won't play with him okay?"

Kimiko gave a bright smile "Okay!"

Kabuto quickly moved to the train station, his eyes darting back and forth to his watch, his pace increasing proportionally.

---

'Seriously, how'd they get the funding for this thing?' Kabuto wondered as he walked through the giant halls of UA High.

He paused as he finally arrived at Class 1A. His eyes lingered on the abnormally large door for a little longer than they should have before he walked in.

"You're late." A man in some sort of caterpillar costume glared at him, as his head turned 90° to stare at him.

"I apologise." Kabuto internally cursed at himself 'I forgot to fix the time on my watch.'

The man's glare didn't pause, "I'm letting you off this once, next time you're late I'll have you expelled." He said with a creepy smile which led Kabuto to believe that the man was in fact not lying.

"Yes sir," Kabuto said with a small smile, as he took a step into the class, his eyes shifting to the other kids staring at him or his gloves. 'Twenty-one of them.' He counted.

"What are you coming in for, go to the training grounds." Kabuto paused and let out a small 'Oh' before taking a step back outside.

---

Once again Kabuto wondered at the thought of the school's funding, his eyes scanned the large field which was one of many inside the school.

"Bakugo, you're the highest scorer in the entrance exam, what was your score on the ball throw test in middle school?" Aizawa asked as Bakugo, a kid with spiky blonde hair stepped forward with a smug smile etched across his face.

"Sixty Five meteres without a quirk." He said proudly.

"Impressive," Aizawa commented before handing him a baseball.

"Now try again with your quirk," Aizawa said as the creepy smile appeared once again.

Bakugo didn't need to be asked twice as he quickly stood on the designated spot and launched the ball into the air, "Die!" He yelled out while doing so raising some eyebrows from the rest of the class.

"705.3 meters," Aizawa said turning the measurement device in his hands toward the rest of the class.

"That's so manly." Kabuto turned his head towards the red-haired boy and gave him a weird look, who chuckled nervously in response.

"Alright now let's start with the first assessment, a fifty-meter dash," Aizawa said, walking towards the race track that all but magically appeared in front of Kabuto.

'Suspicious.' Kabuto narrowed his eyes.

"First up, Kabuto Ryoma and Hanta Sero," Aizawa called out.

Kabuto walked forward along with the Sero kid, who had tape-like dispensers where his elbows should have been.

Kabuto walked to the race line along with Sero and the two stretched themselves.

"Kabuto." He greeted himself extending his hand out not before taking his gloves off, leading to some raised eyebrows.

"Hanta." The other boy greeted himself, grasping Kabuto's hand.

"Ryoma," Aizawa called out suddenly.

Kabuto turned his head to look back at him, slightly confused, "You're not allowed to use your quirk on anyone else for this test." Aizawa said piquing the interest of the class.

"I wonder what his quirk is for Aizawa-Sensei to not allow him to use it?" A girl with pink skin asked someone in particular.

"Maybe some type of emitter quirk, considering how Sensei told him not to use his quirk on Sero, it's very likely that his quirk causes some sort of change on the person it's used on, probably something that would affect Sero's result, seeing as how Ryoma took off his gloves to shake his hand, he plausibly needs to have physical contact with his skin for it to work." Multiple eyes turned towards the green-haired boy, who was whispering to himself, and he blushed in response.

"That, makes sense, Ribbit." A girl with frog features said with a finger on her chin.

Though they didn't have any more time to think about their classmate's quirk as Aizawa readied the gun.

"Go."

Bang!

Tape launched out of Sero's elbow attaching to the finishing line and launching him forward, while Kabuto being restricted had to run the normal way and arrived a few seconds later.

"4.3 and 7 seconds," Aizawa noted calmly.

Kabuto wasn't pleased nor was he pleased with his time, although he knew he could have done far better with the use of his quirk.

The rest of the class went soon, the pink girl released acid from her feet which propelled her forward, Bakugo used his explosions behind his hands to propel himself forward.

Yaoyorozu created roller skates with her quirk. Lida, someone with engines in his legs came first with a time of three seconds.

Although another boy, Ruyuga caught his attention, the grey-haired boy seemingly got random bursts of speed in his race landing him with a time of 4.8 seconds.

Next was the grip strength, Kabuto did fairly average, the top scorer was Ruyuga who just had abnormally high strength, below him was Shoji, who could basically grow extra arms and Sato a kid who got absolutely shredded after eating some sugar.

A few more tests happened and finally, the last assessment started, which was also technically the first assessment, being the ball throw.

Kabuto's eyes turned towards Midoriya whose name he had learned, who was muttering while freaking out for reasons that were beyond him.

"Ryuga Kishatu." Aizawa called out, and the almost lanky grey-haired boy walked forward, his face calm ignoring the stares of the people around him.

Ryuga grabbed the ball and steadied himself by taking deep breaths.

"Go."

The ball was launched into the sky with explosive force, there wasn't any explosion or sound, just a ball launched high into the sky.

"Six hundred and twenty." Ryuga walked back in with what Kabuto would call satisfaction.

"Izuku Midoriya." The boy standing beside him, almost yelped as he quickly made his way to the ball.

The boy hadn't done anything exceptional, in fact, he was doing the worst out of everyone, even the girl whose quirk was being invisible was doing better than him.

As the boy steadied himself, Kabuto noticed a slight shift in his eyes, something you wouldn't notice if you weren't paying attention.

"Hoh?" Kaburo wondered if the boy was going to finally do something, because according to what he had heard from a girl named Uraraka, the boy had destroyed the zero-point robot in the entrance exam with a single punch.

Kabuto's focus on the boy steadied as he carefully analysed him getting ready to throw the ball.

"Eh?" A weird noise collectively came out of the entire class.

The ball barely moved a couple of feet in the air before coming back down.

However, Aizawa didn't mention the scire, and Kabuto quickly noticed the man's levitating hair.

"He used his quirk on him." Kabuto knew who the man was, he was Eraserhead, a hero with the ability to erase the quirk of anyone he looked at.

'Really made them cower in fear.' He thought absentmindedly.

Quickly enough, the boy stood back in position after being scolded by the teacher, and he steadied himself once more.

Kabuto's attention was off the boy and towards their teacher, however, his eyes darted back onto his classmate.

Bang!

A massive gust of wind brushed past them, Kabuto's and everyone's eyes widened, and the ball soared through the sky with a loud explosion.

"705.3" Aizawa's creepy grin appeared once again, Kabuto's eyes turned to Midoriya's finger, which had turned an unnatural purple and was twisted in a way normal fingers should not have been twisted.

"DEKU!" A yell took his eyes off the disturbing sight and towards the blonde boy, whom he now thought may have anger issues.

Before Bakugo could reach Midoriya he was immobilised by the scarf Aizawa was wearing.

---

The test ended with Kabuto scoring an average in all of the exams and Aizawa showed them the overall result.

"First Ryuga Kishatu, Second Momo Yaoyorozu, Third Shoto Todoroki... The list continued, Thirteenth Kabuto Ryoma... And finally, last place is Izuku Midoriya."

Kabuto shrugged at the result, his eyes briefly turned to Midoriya, who was looking at the results as the world had ended.

"What's up with him?" Kabuto muttered.

"Oh, and I lied about expelling the last-ranked student." Aizawa's smile sent shivers down his spine, although he paused for a moment.

"When'd he say that?" A small bead of sweat formed on his face.

"It was before you were in class." A girl beside him, Jirou answered.
