Inside the kitchen, Meowth looked at Ash and asked, "Boss, what are we making?"
"Suzie and Pikachu have the same taste; they both like tomatoes. So we're making Italian meatball and sausage spaghetti."
"Oh oh! Is it that one, meow? The pasta that seems very popular among high-society folks." Meowth could indeed be considered Ash's butler. Therefore, he was very clear about which dishes at the Continental Hotel were favored by which demographics.
"Exactly. However, considering Suzie's energy is low, I need to add some medicinal herbs to it, but that will affect the flavor."
"Then we'll just make a massive portion of spaghetti, meow!" Ash and Meowth exchanged a glance and said in unison: "It MUST be a massive portion!"
Holding the pan, Ash said, "Meowth, contact the Los Pollos Hermanos Restaurant and have them deliver the ingredients. I'll take charge of the prep work first."
"Understood. Here, Boss, your chef's uniform and a fake mustache for disguise."
"Thanks! This is the only way it feels right!"
Soon, under Meowth's coordination, all the fresh ingredients were delivered. Chansey and Kirlia also helped carry the ingredients inside. Out of curiosity, Misty sneaked a peek to see what Ash was doing, and she was astonished by the sight before her. Ash, who usually cooked with roaring flames and intense stir-frying, was actually taking a highly refined route this time.
"Kirlia, use your Confusion to mix the beef and pork in the right proportions. Meowth, help me chop the onions. Pikachu, you pick out the best-tasting tomatoes."
Then, Ash took the eggs handed to him by Chansey, and while cracking them, he said, "Chansey, help pound the beef and pork one more time."
"Lucky!" (No problem!)
And just as Chansey was using her strength to pound the meat, Pikachu came over holding a few tomatoes. "Pika!" (These tomatoes taste the best! I can guarantee it with my years of experience eating tomatoes!)
Taking the tomatoes Pikachu handed him, Ash made a quick slice and pull with his knife, and the tomato skins came right off. He then set them aside. Ash picked up a batch of perfectly pounded beef and pork paste.
"Pour in the minced onions, minced garlic, and the medicine Suzie needs. Plus the breadcrumbs made by heating freshly baked white bread and milk together, squeezing out the excess milk, and grinding it up while we were waiting for the ingredients! Perfect!"
"Add parsley flakes. Chansey's eggs, and finally salt and black pepper for seasoning. Very good, Boss, you can start now, meow!"
Afterward, Ash carefully began to mix these ingredients by hand, blending them evenly. Then, he rolled them out one by one into meatballs.
While Ash was rolling the meatballs, Suzie came over next to Misty and whispered softly, "It's my favorite Italian meatball and sausage spaghetti. Ash really did remember."
"Suzie, you're awake?" Misty was somewhat surprised that Suzie got up, but Suzie smiled and said, "I'm a very light sleeper, so I heard everything Ash said."
"Eh?"
"I'm very happy. It turns out Ash really does have thoughts about me."
And just as Suzie and Misty were talking, Ash had already pan-fried the meatballs and sausages with oil. Then he used the remaining oil to fry the garlic and poured in Pikachu's favorite tomato juice. Subsequently, a rich aroma began to waft through the air. Ash's stupid duck, upon smelling it, suddenly didn't have a headache anymore and came waddling over, drooling profusely.
Watching his own stupid duck run over drooling, Ash added the fresh tomatoes while saying, "Psyduck, it's not done yet. Wait a moment, understand? If you don't understand, you won't get a share."
"Psy, psy!!"
As soon as Psyduck heard it wouldn't get a share if it didn't understand, it instantly understood everything. It obediently stood to the side, while Ash was finishing the final steps, pouring the meatballs and sausages back in and adding some home-brewed wine and sugar.
Looking at the bright red sauce and meatballs, Ash asked Meowth next to him, "Is the spaghetti ready?"
"Yes!"
"Great, time to serve. You two peeping over there, go wash your hands."
Being called out by Ash, Misty and Suzie looked at each other and stuck their tongues out.
"Ladies, Italian meatballs and sausage spaghetti. I'm going to go mix Pidgeot's favorite bitter flavor first. You guys eat while it's hot."
Watching Ash wearing a fake mustache to help Pidgeot mix the flavor, Suzie rested her cheek on her hand and said, "Only with this kind of carefulness can one take good care of Pokémon..."
"Indeed, Ash is really serious when it comes to doing things."
After speaking, the two looked at each other and smiled.
Meanwhile, the other Pokémon had already started annihilating the food in front of them. Primeape and Psyduck were eating the fastest. Misty's Water-type Pokémon surprisingly liked it too.
What they didn't know was that when this rich aroma drifted out the door and into the street, many sharp-nosed people had already rushed toward Suzie's grooming parlor.
"I've said it many times. This is a grooming parlor, not a restaurant! I am Suzie's boyfriend, and this outfit is just cosplay!"
This was already the umpteenth person Ash had turned away. They all treated this place like a restaurant.
"Is that so... what a pity."
"If you want to eat, please head over to the Los Pollos Hermanos Restaurant. We are just having a normal lunch here. Psyduck, wait a moment, I'll serve you after I'm done talking here."
Seeing his duck walking over with a plate, Ash comforted it first. The people who mistakenly thought this was a restaurant couldn't help but gulp as they watched Psyduck eating with its mouth stained red.
They really wanted to eat it!
Psyduck looked at their strange gazes, tilted its head, and then slightly hid the plate behind its back. Seeing Psyduck's reaction, Ash couldn't help but think:
'Not bad, it's still salvageable. It knows how to protect its food...'
