Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Message That Broke the NightThe night was strangely quiet.

On the fifth floor of an old building overlooking a busy street, Leila sat beside the window, watching the rain slowly fall over the city lights.

She had always loved the rain.

It gave her a strange sense of peace… as if the whole world was washing away its exhaustion.

But tonight, there was no peace.

She placed her phone on the table and sighed softly.

For days now… something about Adam had felt different.

He disappeared for hours.

He replied to her messages late.

Sometimes… he didn't reply at all.

She tried to convince herself it was just work pressure.

But her heart refused to believe it.

Suddenly…

Her phone vibrated on the table.

A new message.

An unknown number.

She hesitated for a moment.

Then she opened it.

A photo.

Her eyes widened slowly… then her expression froze.

The picture was very clear.

Adam.

But he wasn't alone.

A woman was standing beside him… a beautiful woman with long dark hair.

She was standing far too close to him.

Adam's hand was around her waist.

Leila felt the air disappear from the room.

Her fingers trembled as she opened the second message.

"If you think you know him… you're wrong."

Her phone slipped from her hand onto the table.

"No… this can't be."

She whispered with a shaking voice.

Adam couldn't betray her.

Not after everything they had been through.

Not after all the promises he had made.

But before she could think further…

Her phone suddenly started ringing.

She looked at the screen.

One name appeared.

Adam.

Her heart felt like it stopped.

Should she answer?

Or face the truth?

After a few long seconds… she pressed the answer button.
