Swipe down to close tab.

Loki swiped the screen. A note appeared.

(Note: Goal is to become a Rebornist and leave Redemption Valley.)

Loki stared at the screen as it went dark.

Well, that was a lot of information to process. Domain comprehension, he thought as he stood from the bed and sat at his desk.

He inhaled. It was late at night. A lamp lit the table. He took a pen and opened the notebook. He drew a circle.

Understand my emotions. Assess myself.

Well, it'd been a month since Mari died. Everything happened so fast. Learning everything at the camp was a lie. Tars and him, their relationship progressed so fast, and he didn't know if he really had feelings for her. Ken was the closest thing he had to a friend, but he'd shot him. Lucas, the man he looked up to, was fighting for his life.

He drew a line across the circle.

Loki wondered what was really happening. He recalled holding Tars close and wanting her. What was his identity? He sighed and rested his head against the chair.

"Loki, man, wake up."

Loki opened his eyes. He stretched. The bed was harder than usual.

Huh. Was this Camp 12?

"Mends!"

Loki stared at Mends, who was sitting on the bed. He grabbed his hand, shaking. He touched his face and pressed his cheek.

"Hey, stop all the touching, man." Mends pulled his hand away.

"Mends!" Loki pulled Mends into an embrace. "Mends, ahh Mends! There were no green fields. Mari's dead. Mends, oh Mends, I'm lost."

Loki sobbed, holding on.

"Hey, Loks, you're the smartest person I know. How can you be lost?" Mends pulled himself out of the embrace. "Get up. Let's walk."

Mends extended his hand. Loki wiped the tears from his eyes and took it. The dorm was empty, just the two of them. Mends led him through the door.

"You know, I'm glad you survived. I knew you were meant for great things."

Loki followed him down the corridor. Mends stopped at a door. Loki looked up. Written on top were the words Doors of Fate.

Mends pushed it open.

"So, what if Mari's dead? So, what if I'm not around? Loks, you have life. And if you live, we all live."

Mends turned to face Loki.

"You know where you are. Who you're with. Who you're not with. And the goal is to see that green field, the peace, have family. Above all, Loks." He held Loki's shoulder. "You have to find the truth. For Mari. For all those we lost. You're strong, Loks."

He pulled Loki into his embrace.

Loki held on. "Mends, I promise to get to the bottom of this. I'll become a Rebornist and leave Redemption Valley."

"You have to, Loks."

"And those who did this to us, I'll kill them. I will find you. I promise."

Mends pulled back. "I know you will, friend. Walk forward, Loks. We all stand with you."

Loki stared at Mends. Mends stared back and nodded.

They walked. Loki toward a green door. Mends toward a red one.

Loki stopped when he reached the green door and turned. Mends raised his hand.

"You protect Tars. Greet her for me. See you, Loks."

"You be safe, Mends. Be strong. I'm coming for you."

They nodded once more. Loki opened the door and stepped through.

Bright light blinded his sight. When he opened his eyes, he stood in a white room.

"Hothead."

Lucas's voice came from behind him.

"Lucas, sir. One-Eyed King." Loki turned to face him.

"Loki, what gives you strength? You respect."

"I don't understand, sir. Where are we? Are you dead?" Loki walked toward Lucas and stood before him.

"No. The honey badger never dies."

Lucas held his shoulder. Loki's vision went blurry.

"Lucas! Lucas!"

"Lucas!"

Loki exclaimed as he woke up. He wiped his forehead and sat up straighter in the chair. He stared at the marks he'd made in the notebook.

He walked slowly to the bathroom. He removed the bandage from his eyes and stared at himself in the mirror.

"Mends... hahahah! Mends! Thank you."
