"Meow~" The pet let out a yawn, turning into a streak of light and returning to his ring. Seito stretched, logged out, and departed the game.

Seito removed his gaming helmet and instinctively activated Spatial Perception. It had become a habit over the past few weeks.

His brows knitted together. He sensed a fluctuation of monster energy in Chiba City—specifically, the energy was centered right at the Yuigahama residence!
With a thought, he used Spatial Shift and vanished.

Inside Yui's room, two "Dumplings"—one big and one small—were cowering inside a closet. They were pressing their hands over their mouths, trying desperately not to make a sound. Yui was filled with regret. The Boss had appeared out of nowhere, and her phone was dead, meaning she couldn't reach Seito!
"Yui, don't be afraid..." Mrs. Yuigahama comforted her daughter, her voice trembling. She wasn't holding up well either; the appearance of a monster inside their home had shattered her sense of security. If not for her daughter's presence, she might have broken down in tears.
"Mom, give me your phone... I'll call Seito-kun..." Yui whispered.
Mrs. Yuigahama looked at her daughter, confused. Why call Seito-kun? Can a regular student save us from this? She didn't know about Seito's powers. "My phone... it's in my room."
"No!" Yui felt her sanity slipping.
Just then!
BANG! CRASH!
The bedroom door was ripped to shreds by the Boss! It was a hideous, savage creature with two blades for arms, a massive, singular eye dominating its upper face, and a lower jaw bristling with razor-sharp, dripping fangs!
The monster jerked its head and locked its gaze onto the closet!
The big and small Dumpling s shrieked in terror as they saw it through the cracks in the door!
"AH...!!!"
The monster emitted a grating, ear-piercing screech and lunged toward the closet!
"It's over!" Yui and her mother clung to each other, tears streaming down their faces. She felt like it was the end for both of them—and it was all her fault! If only her phone had been charged!
Just as the monster was about to slam into the closet, a fierce, icy voice exploded through the room!
"DIE!"
WHOOSH!
"AAHH!!!!
BOOM!
