Scarlett, Elizabeth and Diana arrived at the mall. Scarlett was wearing a black dress with some wages. She looked like a powerful woman— of course she is. Elizabeth elegant as always was wearing a purple dress that hugged her figure. Elizabeth always maintained her body. People would think Elizath and Isla were sisters.
Diana was wearing black tight jeans and a crop top with some heels. When they were at home Elizabeth wanted to ask her to remove the outfit but she decided to go against it.
"Oh my is that Elizabeth Harrison?" One of the people in the mall said.
"That's Diana her new daughter in law." Another whispered.
"Damn who is that pregnant lady. She looks so beautiful. Like a doll. I wanna pinch her cheeks." Another said and giggled.
"Damn look at her long black hair. My hair now feels shorter."
The shoppers looked at her with jealousy wondering who Scarlett was. Diana rolled her eyes internally with the way people were admiring Scarlett's beauty.
"Mrs Harrison welcome to our store." A woman in her forties said with a smile. Elizabeth was a VIP client in this store.
They sold beautiful dresses for different occasions. The store was quite famous for their beautiful designs.
"How can we help you today?" The lady asked as she gestured for the shop assistant to bring refreshments. Scarlett sat down on the couch.
"We are hosting a party tonight to introduce our daughter in law. Can you show us the best dresses in your store." Elizabeth said.
The lady looked at Diana who had a smug look on her face. The look on her face said 'Yuh I'm the daughter in law. Alexander's wife.'
"Oh Young madam welcome. We will show you what we have in store." The lady said as she left.
"Mom which style should I go with?" Diana asked Elizabeth. "Something decent and classy." Elizabeth responded but Diana scoffed.
"Mom no need. I cannot cover this beautiful body. I will choose a revealing dress. I want to feel free." Diana responded.
"Oh good for you. Scarlett what would you like?" Elizabeth said. Scarlett thought about it.
"I want a comfortable dress." Scarlett responded softly. Elizabeth smiled and patted her head.
"Scarlett why are always having that cold face? Is it because your husband doesn't come to see you?" Diana asked and the shop assistants and shoppers glanced between Scarlett and Diana.
"Don't worry. You can talk to Alex. I'm sure he has some rich friends. He can get you acquainted with one." Diana added. She really wanted to embarrass Scarlett.
Diana didn't know why but she felt jealous and competitive towards Scarlett. The moment she saw how Alexander dots on Scarlett it turned to pure hatred.
The shop assistants whispered among themselves as they looked at Scarlett even some shoppers. Scarlett kept her cold face showing no reaction. Elizabeth was quiet also. Diana thought Elizabeth secretly agreed with her.
The shop assistant came with different dresses. She felt the tension in the air. Diana took some dresses and went to the fitting room.
Meanwhile Elizabeth showed Scarlett some dresses and she chose a comfortable black dress. It had a slit on her right leg.
Elizabeth chose a white one. Elizabeth was so mad about the way Diana treated Scarlett but she didn't want to cause any problems at the mall.
"Okay since we have chosen dresses now it's time for shoes and jewelry." Elizabeth said as the ladies followed her out.
Scarlett was behind them. No one noticed the way she looked at Diana with a smirk.
They bought everything they needed. When they were about to enter their car a deep voice echoed.
"Ruby." A man's voice said. Scarlett turned around to see a guy with blonde hair and all muscles . He was super handsome with a smile on his face.
"Who are you?" Elizabeth asked before Scarlett could answer. Elizabeth was glaring at the man.
"I'm Zed. Ruby and I used to be close friends in college." Zed responded. However Elizabeth was not convinced.
"Mom it's okay. Just give me five minutes." Scarlett said but Elizabeth was reluctant.
"But you need to stay with me. I don't trust this one." Elizabeth said coldly.
Zed was shocked with how overprotective Elizabeth was. Diana clenched her fists.
"Mom let them speak. He looks like a great guy." Diana said suggestively.
"Mom just five minutes." Scarlett said. Elizabeth sighed and entered the car. Scarlett then turned to Zed.
"Don't call me Ruby. You are not family." Scarlett said coldly as Zed chuckled.
"With everything I did for you, I qualify to be family." Zed said with a smirk.
"Really? Zed don't get on my bad side. I can be dangerous." Scarlett said eyes dark.
Zed felt a shiver down his spine but he masked it.
"Tell me something Scar. How does it feel being pregnant?" Zed asked with a smirk.
"Zed, I'm warning you. Stay the fuck away from me. Like I told you before, I can be very dangerous." Scarlett said and turned around heading to the car.
She got inside and immediately Elizabeth bombarded her with questions.
"Are you okay? I hope that man did not do anything stupid." Elizabeth asked but Scarlett only smiled in return.
"We have to prepare for the party. Drive us home." Elizabeth said as the car moved.
While Scarlett was talking to Zed inside the car the tension was sharp. Diana said shit about Scarlett but Elizabeth kept her cool.
"Is he the baby of Scarlett's child?" Diana had asked back then but Elizabeth did not respond but clenched her fists.
Diana was relentless with her questions. She even questioned about Scarlett's intentions on Alexander.
"Daughter in law if I were you, I would mind what I say." Elizabeth had responded.
Diana kept quiet after that. She didn't want to get on her mother in law's bad side. She will need her help to throw Scarlett out of the house.
Well yes— Diana is planning on getting Scarlett thrown out of the house.
