Devara immediately tightened his grip.
But then he noticed something far worse.
The other golden horses surrounding him were changing too.
One after another, their majestic forms began twisting into the same terrifying predator-like creatures.
Unlike Kandarpaasura, who had managed to get some distance from the herd, Devara had remained close to the lake.
He was now surrounded.
The creatures stood around him in a wide circle, their golden eyes fixed upon him.
Devara slowly looked around.
One was behind him and Two were to his left.
Several more stood between him and the golden lake.
And the stallion beneath him was still transforming.
Devara swallowed quietly.
"Well..."
He looked down at the creature he was holding.
"...this just became considerably more difficult."
