Inside the chamber, the tension created by Devara's little prank had completely disappeared, replaced by an easy warmth between the two of them.
Princess Indhumati had placed her sword back beside the mirror, though she continued to give Devara an accusing look as he stood before her with the black shawl still hanging loosely around his shoulders.
"I still cannot believe you actually did that,"
She said, shaking her head.
"What kind of groom sneaks into his bride's chamber disguised as an enemy?"
Devara smiled innocently.
"A groom who was prevented from entering through the proper entrance."
"You were prevented because you were not supposed to come here."
"I prefer to think of it as an unnecessary restriction for our love."
Indhumati folded her arms.
