He also crafted a few items using his transmutation spell, derived from the 'Peerless Exotic Elemental Control' and 'Peerless Craft and Skill Control', and imbued them with magical energy according to the nature of what he wanted the artefact to be.
The only issue was that his magical energy limited his power. Recrafting an artefact each time he grew stronger, depending on the equipment, required new components. Otherwise, he risked damaging the artefact from constant reforging. This process was time-consuming and wasted valuable resources.
So he simply crafted the necessary magical artefacts that he could use in his everyday life and upgraded them when needed. The first of those artefacts was his storage ring, which he had forged using one of his ten rings.
As for crafting a magical artefact from thin air? Such a feat was currently beyond him.
He tossed the clothes to Abu.
"Stop whining and put this on. You should be lucky that I didn't take you to the Imperial Magic Court's training ground," Aladdin said.
The moment Aladdin and Abu appeared at the training ground, two familiar guards immediately caught sight of them and rushed in their direction.
They were Arif and Zayel.
Abu begrudgingly caught the clothes and put them on before the men arrived.
The guards quickly arrived and bowed before them.
"Your Highness!"
Aladdin nodded at them.
As Aladdin acknowledged them, they stepped aside and watched him closely. It had become a ritual. Every time Aladdin arrived at the Imperial Magic Court's Library training ground, they would stand aside and observe his training.
For disciples of the Imperial Magic Court like them, watching Aladdin train was both one of the most relaxing and most stress-inducing experiences they had ever had. It simply depended on what kind of spell he was training in or researching at that moment.
And for them, it was an eye-opener to the variety of things they could achieve with such magic in their hands.
"Are you ready?" Aladdin asked, looking at Abu.
Abu stepped forward and stretched his hand out.
He nodded in response.
"Okay then, let's begin."
Aladdin stretched his hand forward.
Magical energy erupted from his hand like a steady stream and slowly entered Abu's body.
Normally, the process of turning an animal or beast into one's familiar could only be achieved with magical circles, acting as a third party to purify and infuse foreign magical energy into them.
However, after mastering the process, Aladdin didn't find the need for a third-party element. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised if he were one of the few humans capable of performing such a ritual without a magic circle.
He knew that there might be other aged or adept sorcerers out there who had already found the secret to eternal life, were deep in researching their specialised spells, and could also perform spells without the need for a magic circle.
Soon, a visible misty arc of magical energy formed around Abu as it flowed into him.
Aladdin began to feel a close sense of connection with Abu, such as sensing his presence and fluctuating emotions.
It was a strange feeling.
Sensing that the process was completed.
Aladdin withdrew his hand and looked at Abu, who was now floating in the air, emanating potent magical energy. His shape had returned to normal and had become slightly more toned.
The entire mist was soon absorbed into Abu before he lost consciousness and gently landed in Aladdin's arms.
Aladdin sat on the ground and chose to wait to see how long it would take for him to awaken. According to his calculations, it shouldn't be more than a few minutes.
Meanwhile, Arif and Zayel observed the scene side by side, confused at first, before realising what Aladdin intended to do. Even they had their own familiars, which they used to deliver messages, make their tasks easier, or assist in training, so they understood the difficulty of creating a familiar.
However, to achieve such a feat without utilising a magic circle was something only a few could boast of.
Nonetheless, Arif and Zayel had already grown used to Aladdin's magical aptitude. It was merely another day of him trying out new spells. They had even begun documenting their experiences with him to share with others.
As disciples of the Imperial Magic Court, serving as eyewitnesses, and with the subject being the new Emperor, they were certain no one would think they were lying.
If Aladdin were to learn of this, he wouldn't even mind, as it would likely improve his stature in the hearts of the citizens of Ababwa. It was just that doing so himself would give off an impression of arrogance.
Ten minutes later, Abu awakened, opening his eyes and realising that he was still in the training ground. Feeling the strength within his muscles, he leapt out of Aladdin's hands and flexed them.
"How do you feel?" Aladdin asked, already understanding that the ritual had gone well from Abu's behaviour. He simply wanted to hear it from him.
"I feel amazing!" Abu responded in a small, squeaky voice, before clamping his mouth shut with his hand, realising what he had just done. He glanced down at his mouth.
He slowly removed his hand and said, "I can speak!" Then he clamped it shut once more.
He freed it for the second time and shouted, "I CAN SPEAK!!"
Abu began jumping around while making several excited monkey sounds.
Aladdin sighed in relief, hearing that Abu could finally speak audibly. Although he could understand him through his innate animal-whispering ability, which the former Aladdin also possessed, it was much easier to have a companion who could communicate with others like this.
Nonetheless, he realised that Abu's voice was somewhat cute.
After Abu had his moment of excitement, Aladdin said, "Can you try out your unique ability? You should be able to feel it."
Normally, only magical beasts that had been transformed into familiars had a chance of awakening a unique ability as a result of their own abilities mutating during the process. But the occurrence of that happening was one in a million.
