Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1: The Sky We Both Watch

Seoul, 08:55 AM.

The city is a blur of grey pavement and rushing suits. The camera pans across the Han River before diving into the heart of the Gangnam business district.

HYUNA (24, bubbly, with a smile that could light up a dark alley) is sprinting. Her heels click-clack frantically against the marble floor of "SKY-LINE Creative." She fumbles with her ID badge, nearly tripping over a potted plant.

She bursts into a sleek, glass-walled office. No knocking. She's breathless, her hair a little messy from the wind. She bows 90 degrees immediately.

Hyuna: (Panting) "Sunbae-nim! I'm sorry... I'm so, so sorry. I'm late again today!"

The man behind the desk doesn't look up immediately. JUNGHAN KIM (29, Art Director) is the definition of "cold handsome." Sharp jawline, perfectly tailored black shirt, and eyes that look like they haven't seen a hobby in five years. He finally sets down his stylus.

Junghan: (Voice low, calm) "See, Hyuna? You're late. Again. I didn't report it to the CEO this morning because we've known each other for years. My mother would kill me if I got her best friend's daughter fired. But seniority only goes so far."

Hyuna: (Straightening up, pouting slightly) "I know, Junghan-oppa... I mean, Senior. I know. But the bus just... it decided to be slow! You know how I am."

Junghan: (Coldly) "I do. That's the problem. Go to your desk."

He stands up, tall and imposing, grabbing a folder. He walks past her without a second glance. Hyuna stays frozen for a second, watching his back. Her expression shifts from "sorry" to "completely lovestruck."

Hyuna: (To herself, whispering) "When are you finally going to really look at me, Senior?"

Lunchtime, 12:30 PM.

The office is buzzing. Junghan is buried in files, sending out digital assignments to his team. He hasn't eaten. Hyuna appears at his door, clutching two coffee cups.

Hyuna: "Senior! Are you free? I mean... for a coffee?"

Junghan looks at the coffee, then at his watch.

Junghan: "Coffee? Fine. I need the caffeine anyway."

The Canteen.

They walk together. It's a study in contrasts. Junghan walks with purpose, eyes fixed straight ahead on the path. Hyuna, however, is walking almost sideways, her eyes glued to his profile, a tiny, subconscious smile on her face.

They sit. Junghan takes a sip of his black coffee, immediately opening a file on his tablet. But then, he pauses. He switches apps. He opens a secret Instagram-style account.

The handle is @Hong_Way.

The screen is filled with breathtaking, ethereal photos of the sky—lilac sunsets, crisp blue mornings, stormy clouds. He scrolls slowly, his expression softening for the first time. He looks... comforted.

Hyuna: "Senior? Are you free tonight? Maybe dinner?"

Junghan: (Eyes still on a photo of a golden sunset) "Night? No. I have work. I'm not free."

Hyuna's face drops. It's a quick flicker of heartbreak, but she masks it with a bright smile.

Hyuna: "Ah, okay! Work comes first. That's fine!"

As he walks away, Hyuna watches him.

Hyuna: (Voiceover) "I think you like me too, Senior. We've been in each other's lives so long... our feelings must be mutual. I'll make sure we end up together. Just wait."

Incheon International Airport.

A massive Boeing 747 touches down.

JAE-WON SEO (28, Pilot) walks through the terminal. He's the opposite of Junghan—warm, humble, with "puppy-dog" eyes and a gentle smile for every flight attendant and ground crew member who bows to him.

"Jae-won!" a voice calls out.

He stops. Walking toward him is HAEYOUNG (27, Pilot). If Hyuna is "sweet," Haeyoung is "Goddess." She is strikingly beautiful, with an aura of absolute confidence. She wears her pilot uniform better than a runway model.

Haeyoung: "Submit this flight log for me?"

She hands him a leather folder. Her fingers brush his. Jae-won smiles, a bit shyly.

Jae-won: "Haeyoung. Good flight today, right?"

Haeyoung: "As always."

She gives him a small, mysterious smirk and walks off. Jae-won stands there, a bit dazed by her presence.

Haeyoung reaches the glass observation deck. The sun is setting over the runway. She pulls out her phone—not for a selfie, but for the horizon. Click.

She opens her phone. She logs into a secret account.

The handle: @Hong_Way.

She uploads the photo. Caption: "The sky is the only place I feel like me." She watches the likes start to roll in. She doesn't know that across the city, Junghan Kim has just received a notification, and for the first time all day, he's actually smiling at his phone.
