Chapter 124 - Chapter 127, 125. A Big Gift.

  Chapter 127, 125. A Big Gift.

This package was about the size of Lynn himself.

Lynn tried to lift the box and it didn't feel as heavy as he had imagined.

But that didn't mean it wasn't actually light; it must have been enchanted with weight-reducing magic.

Lynn felt he could lift it on his own, but it was just too big, and he couldn't even begin to lift it.

He thought for a moment, then drew his wand and gently tapped the large package.

  "Yugardim Leviosa (3x Amplification)."

This time, his luck was pretty good; the first Levitation Charm triggered the Bloodline Amplification, which undoubtedly greatly enhanced the spell's effect.

The large package immediately floated in mid-air.

If his levitation spell had reached this level last year, it wouldn't have been so difficult to bring Professor Fox out of the Forbidden Forest.

Lynn supported the package, leading it into the castle.

He encountered the Weasley brothers as soon as he entered.

One of George's or Fred's twins, he couldn't tell, stared in astonishment at the package floating beside Lynn.

"What did you buy, Lynn? A mummy?"

"It was a gift from someone, I don't know what's inside."

Lynn was speechless at their imagination and tried to change the subject.

"I saw you two got caught by Professor McGonagall last time? What were you punished this time?"

The two brothers seemed nonchalant about their punishments. They were constantly causing trouble and were used to being punished—solitude, cleaning the toilets, chores, standing in the corner—they'd experienced almost every kind of punishment imaginable.

  George shrugged.

"Just a few days of solitary confinement in Felch's office, quite an interesting thing,"

  Fred chimed in.

"We found the Marauder's Map in Felch's office; maybe we'll find something else interesting this time."

Their thoughts wandered, and they quickly stopped paying attention to what was in Lynn's package.

The Weasley brothers said goodbye to Lynn, discussing how to get Felch to eat the toffee they had given him.

After parting ways with George Fred, on his way back to Slytherin, almost every young wizard who passed by stared in amazement at the package beside him.

Lynn walked quickly, thankfully not encountering many acquaintances afterward, otherwise he would have had to make up an excuse.

The crow named Fokine flew away after Lynn received the package; its purpose in staying seemed to be merely to confirm that he had received it personally.

Back in his dormitory, Lynn sat down in a chair, took a breath, and then opened the oversized package.

It contained a variety of items.

What caught Lynn's attention most was a long horn.

He hadn't taken a class on the protection of magical animals, but when he entered the Forbidden Forest in his first year, he had seen a unicorn that had stabbed Professor Fawkes and then escaped.

So Lynn recognized it immediately—it was a complete unicorn horn!

  He secretly swallowed.

Putting everything else aside, just this perfectly preserved unicorn horn could fetch a fortune of Galleons if sold.

He didn't know much about the price of such things, but he had seen unicorn horn powder used as an ingredient in potions when helping out in Snape's office.

There was only one small bottle, and Snape would wince every time he used it. As a Potions Master, Snape couldn't possibly lack Galleons, yet he still felt the pinch. This shows just how precious a unicorn horn was,

  especially such a large one!

Not to mention the other items in the package:

a large bottle of White Elixir, a large bottle of Dragon Blood, bags of unicorn fur, bags of phoenix feathers, and a pile of all sorts of magical animal parts.

Besides these, there were over a dozen bottles and jars of various potions, the most eye-catching being the golden potion:

  a bottle of Felix Felicis.

This bottle contained far more than the one Snape had given him before.

It was a pity that this kind of potion couldn't be reused multiple times, otherwise some uncontrollable problems might arise.

Besides the potion and ingredients, there were also some books, all of them about dark magic.

Lynn looked at the spellbooks with covers featuring skulls or distorted faces, and wondered how many of them were explicitly prohibited by the Ministry of Magic.

He spent the entire afternoon sorting through the contents of the package.

It had to be said, the people of Abros had truly given him a great gift.

Many of these things couldn't be bought with money, but similarly, he didn't need them for the time being.

Only the bottle of Felix Felicis would be of some help to him in the near future.

Lynn thought for a moment, then poured a small amount of Felix Felicis from the large bottle into a small bottle, and then put the small bottle of Felix Felicis on his person.

  After dinner, Lynn found Hermione.

Harry and Ron seemed somewhat afraid of Lynn; upon seeing him, they hurriedly greeted him like mice seeing a cat and then scurried away.

Hermione was still angry with Lynn.

Although she stopped after Lynn called her, she didn't give him a friendly look.

  "Hmph!"

The little girl crossed her arms in front of her, tilted her head back, and pointed her nostrils at Lynn.

"What? Are you showing off how big your nostrils are?"

  "You!"

Hermione stomped her foot angrily, but there was nothing she could do, and she made a move to leave.

Lynn knew when to stop. Teasing Hermione occasionally was fun, but making her truly angry would be bad.

  He grabbed Hermione's arm.

"Hey, don't be angry. If you keep getting angry, your face will turn into a bun."

Hermione turned and glared at him.

"Why did you stop me? Are you asking why I didn't wear pigtails today?"

Lynn pulled a small bottle of Felix Felicis from his pocket.

"Of course not, I'm here to apologize."

He placed the potion in Hermione's hand.

"Felix Felicis, I think you should know its effects. This small bottle contains about three or four drops, which is one dose. Drink it when you feel the need."

Hermione, of course, knew what Felix Felicis was.

Touching the cool glass bottle in her hand, she had no time to be angry.

"No, this is too valuable, I can't accept it."

She wanted to return the potion to Lynn, but Lynn naturally wouldn't take it back.

"I have more here. Having too much of this is useless; it's a waste. If you don't want it, I'll just have to give it to someone else."

Lynn didn't give Hermione a chance to refuse. After handing the potion to her, he turned and left, adding before he left,

"And seriously, you could try a different hairstyle next time."

Hermione stood there, looking at the golden potion in her hand, then at Lynn's departing figure, muttering under her breath,

  "Bad guy."
