It just so happened that Old Wolf passed by at the time and brought the unconscious Law home.
Afterward, Old Wolf allowed Law to stay on the condition that he work in exchange for food and lodging.
Having nowhere else to go, Law accepted.
He stayed behind, helping Old Wolf clean, farm, and build machinery.
Because of Old Wolf, he met Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin.
And in the years that followed, they successfully formed the Heart Pirates.
However, they were still too young.
Although they had established a pirate crew, they continued living alongside Old Wolf, helping him tinker with inventions and spending peaceful, happy days together.
Now that Old Wolf was critically injured, there was no way Law would stand by and do nothing.
Still, this was the first time he had ever used the Op-Op Fruit to perform surgery on someone other than himself.
Whether he could actually save Old Wolf, he wasn't entirely sure.

So Law was still on Swallow Island at this point?

So he had established the crew but hadn't set sail yet?
Still, what interested Arashi most was the mission itself.
He hadn't expected the system to suddenly issue a disciple-related mission.
Back when he met Zoro and Kuina in the East Blue—or even curly-browed Sanji in Loguetown—the system had never given him a task like this.
Yet the moment he arrived in the North Blue, it wanted him to take on a disciple?
Well, whatever.

Teaching him shouldn't be difficult.
Meanwhile, Perona and Robin—curious about the airplane that had appeared in the sky—had already jumped off the Traveler and were running toward the crash site.
Seeing Arashi still standing on the deck, Perona turned around and shouted:
"Arashi! Arashi!"
"Come on! Let's go see what happened!"
"You need to hurry!"
Hearing that, Arashi didn't hesitate.
He leaped from the deck and quickly followed after them.
Before long, the three arrived at the crash site.
Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin were completely focused on Old Wolf's condition and didn't notice their arrival.
As for Law, he was fully immersed in the operation.
At that moment, there was only one thing on his mind:
Pull Old Wolf back from Death's grasp.
After glancing at the wrecked airplane, Arashi's attention immediately settled on the young man performing surgery.
His guess had been correct.
Law looked around fifteen or sixteen years old.
Though he carried a maturity beyond his years, his youthful face still revealed his age.
Even Perona became unusually quiet when she saw the gravely wounded old man.
She stared at Old Wolf's condition without blinking.
Though she was extremely curious about Law's method of treatment, she refrained from interrupting.
Half an hour later—
Law finally let out a long breath.
Then he withdrew the power of the Op-Op Fruit and turned toward Penguin and Shachi.
"Penguin. Shachi."
"The sea breeze is too strong here."
"We need to get Old Wolf home immediately."
Without hesitation, Penguin and Shachi stepped forward and prepared to carry the old man away.
Seeing this, Arashi blinked.
Then he couldn't help speaking up.
"If you carry him away like that, his wounds are going to reopen."
"Huh?!"
The moment Arashi's voice sounded, Law, Penguin, Shachi, and Bepo all stiffened.
Then they simultaneously spun around and stared toward the three newcomers who had somehow appeared behind them.
"Don't panic."
Looking at the group that immediately assumed defensive stances, Arashi casually waved a hand.
"I don't mean any harm."
"Who... who are you?"
Law didn't relax in the slightest.
He remained on high alert, staring at Arashi cautiously.
Without answering, Arashi suddenly disappeared from where he stood.
In a blink, he appeared beside Old Wolf.
"So fast!"
Law's pupils contracted.
His grip tightened around the nodachi at his side.
"The surgery went well."
Standing with his back to Law, Arashi examined Old Wolf's injuries.
Then he spoke calmly.
"What are you all standing around for?"
"Go find a stretcher."
"Carrying him like that isn't going to work."
The reminder instantly snapped Penguin and Shachi out of their daze.
They immediately turned and ran off.
Soon afterward, they returned carrying a stretcher.
Carefully placing Old Wolf onto it, they hurried away.
To Penguin and Shachi, it didn't matter who Arashi was or why he had come here.
All they cared about was seeing Old Wolf wake up and continue building strange inventions with them.
After watching the old man being carried away, Perona suddenly hopped over beside Arashi and looked curiously at Law.
"You were using a Devil Fruit ability during that surgery, weren't you?"
"You..."
Law's pupils immediately narrowed.
His hand tightened around his sword once more.
"My name is Perona!"
Before Law could finish speaking, Perona happily introduced herself.
"I'm Arashi's little ghost girl!"
As she spoke, she leaned against Arashi and looked utterly adorable.
"And I'm Arashi."
Seeing Law's constant vigilance, Arashi finally introduced himself as well.
"A traveler."
"You're... travelers?"
Law remained wary.
"You came to Swallow Island for sightseeing?"
Watching Law stay on guard from beginning to end, Arashi frowned slightly.
He understood Law's attitude.
And he knew what the boy had been through.
But Arashi wasn't interested in wasting time dancing around the issue.
So the moment Law finished speaking—
Smack!
Arashi casually raised a hand and brought it down on Law's head.
A dull thump echoed.
The constantly vigilant Law immediately rolled his eyes back.
Then he collapsed onto the ground unconscious.
"Hey!"
After knocking Law out, Arashi looked toward Bepo, who stood nearby with his brain completely frozen.
"You, the bear."
"Come carry him."
"Then take me to see how the old man's surgery turned out."
