Koji's vision was initially blurry as he came into the dream; however, quickly his vision begun to clear up.
The scene around him was absolutely beautiful; the land was plastered with mountains and greenery everywhere.
The tallest mountain had a beautiful river flowing down it, slithering over everything in it's path like a snake.
Each mountain could be said to be taller than a normal tower in a city back on earth; in short, they were not miniscule in the slightest.
The sky was completely clear; the blue visible in all of it's glory; it was the perfect representation of a perfect day.
However, the most noticeable factor was what was going on in the valley between the mountain ranges.
A man with purple hair was sitting amongst the nature; his pale hand holding a cup of tea. His robes were completely white in color; they cascaded over the grass and rocks that he sat upon.
'T-this?'
An immense feeling of dread fell over Koji as he saw the figure; although the figure had done nothing like the two horrifying existences in his last dreams, this one had the most impact on him.
He could not even see the mans face; hell, he didn't even know if it was a man. However, the terror induced into him was for sure greater than anything he's experienced yet!
Just by seeing him Koji could tell he was not like the other two in his dreams; he was totally different. If one was to describe the previous two as demons, this man would be the devil himself.
But just as Koji was in utter terror, suddenly a change occurred.
The man was no longer down in the valley, in fact Koji didn't see him at all.
"How odd, I didn't expect you to see me this early..."
A mature, yet soft voice rang through Koji's ear; however, before he could fully process the words, the dream ended.
'What the hell was that!?'
As Koji woke up, it was as if a mountain was just lifted off of his chest.
'Was he speaking to me? He had to be!'
At this point, Koji knew deep down these dreams were anything but normal.
'W-were they real? Does that guy actually exist?!'
But what shocked him the most was a new memory in his mind that he had never had before.
'W-what...?'
He remembered various methods of nurturing the soul: he remembered the Relics and Zelits that had to do with the soul, he remembered ways to create soul related Relics and Zelits, he knew the essence of how different Relics interacted with and contradicted each other.
'The soul is actually a manifestation of energy, including a different form of essence; Xin was never the only essence, in actuality another one called Zen exists. Zen is what makes up your soul, and what makes up every living beings soul. That is why traditional methods can't target the soul, because the soul is a completely different entity in of itself!'
'Why do I know all of this!?'
...
The purple haired man smiled slightly; watching the reflection of the water.
'Maybe this wasn't the best decision, imparting all this knowledge to him; well, I am bored anyway, so it doesn't matter.'
...
Koji recalled even more things now engraved in his mind about the soul.
'The Soul Reaper?'
Until, one thing caught his interest; it was the recipe for a Weapon Relic.
'The Soul Reaper has the ability to directly target the soul with a single slash of it's blade, if it hits the skin it releases an infection into the soul; usually, directly targeting the thoughts of people is impossible. But the Soul Reaper can drive people to insanity if you use it correctly, and you can make them your puppets by killing them with the Soul Reaper; it is used a conduit to release souls that you absorb.'
Of course, this Relic was way above his level.
'I should focus on other matters; although this knowledge may be useful in the future, currently I can't do much with this.'
He was baffled at the fact that he had just gained mountains of knowledge in little to no time; actually, he was utterly ecstatic!
'One day, this will come in handy..'
He couldn't help but feel a bit of pity knowing currently this knowledge wasn't something he could put to use.
For now, it was a new day and that meant he would have to continue his training with Lin, and also try not to mention the awkward situation that occurred yesterday with Ivory.
...
"Koji, we are going out into the city."
Lin explained to Koji that today he was going out into the city, and that he would bring Ivory and Koji along.
After they decided on it, they set out to go to the city.
"Woah, dad I want this!"
The city had many buildings, of course they weren't comparable to the ones back on earth. Not only that, but there were many tiny shops around the streets too; currently, Ivory was looking at a jewelry stand.
The item she was pointing to was a silver necklace that held a purple gem; it shined as the sun reflected off of it, no doubt it was very beautiful.
"Uhm... Ivory it's a bit expensive..."
Lin looked at the price tag; it was three gold coins!
"Please, pleaseeeee"
Ivory pleaded Lin with eyes that would make a warrior's demeanor falter.
"E-eh okay.."
Lin couldn't help but give in, however he was slightly disappointed in himself; after all, three gold coins was a lot of money.
But there was a stand that specifically interested Koji.
'What? They sell Relics?'
"Master Lin, Look a Relic stand!"
Lin was astonished as Koji said this; usually when Relics were sold it was at a normal shop.
But as he saw what Koji was pointing to his astonishment subsided.
"Oh yeah, those Relics are just for you to crush and they will alter stuff like your hair and eye color. Since the effects are so small, even a mortal can bare them."
"Hair and eye color?"
Koji's thoughts ran wild for a second; he wanted this extremely badly!
'Hehe I need to look cool, I can't have this stupid white hair!'
Koji tried his best to mimic Ivory's pitifulness, of course he was a boy so it wasn't as convincing.
"Master Lin, can I please get one?"
Lin sighed; they weren't too expensive so it wasn't too much of a problem.
"Fine."
...
Koji looked in the mirror; his eyes and hair were both black!
