Chapter 86 - The Final Move

Night did not fall gently this time.

It arrived sharp. Intentional.

Like something—someone—had decided the calm was over.

Inside the White estate, the lights still glowed warm.

Too warm.

Too peaceful.

Mau stood by the window, Samantha asleep against her chest, her tiny breaths steady and soft.

Tim approached quietly, slipping an arm around her waist.

"You feel it too," he murmured.

Mau nodded.

"She's not done."

As if summoned by the truth—

Amber's voice cut through the silence from the hallway.

"Mau. Now."

The war had begun again.

Within minutes, the entire team gathered in the strategy room. Screens lit up. Data streamed in.

Aida's fingers moved rapidly across the keyboard. "We've got coordinated disruptions across three continents."

Amber added, "M Designs servers—breached attempts. Media leaks—queued but not released."

Tim's jaw tightened. "She's building pressure."

Mau stepped forward. Calm. Focused. Dangerous.

"She's not attacking randomly," she said.

"She's staging."

Dale looked at her. "For what?"

Mau's eyes sharpened.

"A public collapse."

Aida froze. "Wait—"

She pulled up another file. Then another.

And then—

Her voice dropped.

"Oh no."

On the main screen appeared a global announcement:

M DESIGNS GLOBAL FAMILY LEGACY GALA — LIVE BROADCAST

Scheduled in less than 24 hours.

Amber's face went pale. "She's going to hit during the gala."

Tim cursed under his breath. "Maximum visibility. Maximum damage."

Mau stared at the screen.

Then slowly—

She smiled.

Aida blinked. "Why are you smiling?"

"Because," Mau said, voice steady,

"She just stepped into my stage."

Silence.

Then realization.

Tim's lips curved. "You're going to flip it."

Mau turned to him.

"No," she said.

"I'm going to end it."

Across the city—

Sheena stood before a wall of screens, eyes gleaming.

Every angle mapped.Every weakness calculated.

Mau's identity.Her past.Her rise.

All ready to be torn apart—live.

"They'll watch her fall," Sheena whispered.

"And they'll watch me take everything."

But what Sheena didn't see—

Was that Mau was no longer playing defense.

Back at the estate—

The plan unfolded rapidly.

Amber: controlling media flow.Aida: counter-hacking, tracing every digital move.Dale: securing legal and corporate power.Sierra: ensuring family safety.

Tim—

Stepped beside Mau.

"Tell me where you need me."

Mau looked at him—really looked.

And for a moment…

The world quieted again.

"Beside me," she said softly.

"Always."

The next night—

The gala was nothing short of spectacular.

Lights. Cameras. Global elites watching.

M Designs at its peak.

Mau stepped onto the stage.

Elegant. Unshaken.

Unbreakable.

Tim stood just offstage. Watching. Ready.

And then—

The attack began.

Screens flickered.

A voice cut through the broadcast.

Sheena.

"Ladies and gentlemen," she purred,

"Let me introduce you to the real story behind your beloved Mau."

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

Data flashed.

Fragments of Mau's past.The kidnapping.The village.The hidden identity.

Sierra's hand tightened around Dale's.

Tim took a step forward—

But Mau didn't move.

She simply… waited.

Sheena's voice sharpened. "A fraud. A fabrication. A woman built on lies."

And then—

Mau lifted her hand.

Everything stopped.

The screens shifted.

Reversed.

Controlled.

Aida's voice whispered through comms, "Now, Mau."

Mau stepped forward.

Her voice—calm, clear, undeniable.

"You're right," she said.

"I was hidden."

A ripple of shock.

"I was taken. Lost. Rebuilt."

Tim's breath caught.

"But I am not a lie."

The screens changed again—

Now showing the truth.

Dave.

The orchestrator.The betrayal.The evidence.

Sheena's face appeared—no longer composed.

"You wanted the truth?" Mau continued.

"Here it is."

The room exploded into chaos.

Gasps. Shouts. Cameras flashing wildly.

Sheena's voice cracked through the system.

"You think this makes you untouchable?"

Mau's eyes locked onto the main camera.

"No," she said.

"It makes me honest."

Security moved.

Authorities closed in.

Every exit sealed.

Sheena tried to run.

But there was nowhere left to go.

As she was taken—

Her eyes found Mau.

Burning.

Furious.

Defeated.

"This isn't over," she hissed.

Mau met her gaze.

And for the first time—

There was no challenge left.

"It is," Mau said quietly.

Silence followed.

Then—

Applause.

Slow. Rising. Thunderous.

Not for a victory of power.

But for truth.

Backstage—

The moment the doors closed—

Tim pulled Mau into him.

Tight. Unshaking.

"You were incredible," he whispered.

Mau exhaled, finally letting go of the tension she had carried for so long.

"We were," she corrected.

Samantha's soft cry echoed nearby—perfect timing.

Tim laughed. "And she wants her spotlight."

Mau smiled, taking their daughter into her arms.

Between them.

Where she belonged.

Dale and Sierra approached slowly.

Pride. Relief. Love.

"It's over," Sierra whispered.

Mau looked around—

At her family. At her life.At everything she had fought for.

And this time—

She believed it.

"Yes," she said softly.

"It finally is."
