Rudra stepped first.
Then held his hand out.

They moved fast down the stairs.

Aanya whispered while running,
"This feels like a trap…"
Rudra replied instantly,

They reached a lower tunnel.
Metal corridor.
Emergency lights barely working.

The exit sealed above.
Aanya turned back in panic.
"It's closing!"
Rudra grabbed her hand tighter.
"Don't look back."
They ran again.

a voice echoed through the tunnel speakers.
Calm.

Armaan.
"You always choose escape, Rudra."
A pause.
"But you never escape yourself."
Rudra stopped for half a second.
Aanya felt it.

Armaan continued:
"Do you remember this place?"
Rudra's eyes darkened.
